Sorry to say I don't think the hard time you have given Aldi for the lettuce is justify when u can share it around and u got so much other great stuff. At the end of the day these are supposed to be a bit of a lucky dip not a 3 course dinner. I mean that nicely ❤❤
One iceberg lettuce typically weighs about the same as 3 bags of precut so there is in reality only 2 iceberg lettuces in each box which does not seem excessive especially as they are packed assuming most customers would only purchase one box which is also why contents are often duplicated. Most people would only buy one box then another when they need a top up shop but in this instance she has a large family to feed and chooses to buy 2 boxes at a time which is why there are so many duplicate items that can be difficult to use given the short shelf life of the products.
Can anyone tell.me about this gift box thing. Sounds like a worker picks your food and you get a surprise box. Also.how often you can get them and cost. My hearing is not good so did not hear what she said. Thanks!
My father in law usrd to grow lettuce and they all came ready to wleat at the same time. He gave them away as well as us making use of them. Believe it or not you can use it in smoothies as a replacement for cucumber or celery because of the high water content. My friend actually freezes bags of icebery lettuce in the same way you wpuld spinach and she adds directly from the freezer into her blender with banana and berries and a little cocunut water to make a smoothie. I have hear of people adding it to curries spag bol or frying it up then air frying it to make healthy crisps i havent tried this but some very interesting ideas px

I’d be putting the lettuce on the compost heap as my greens part, to get some use out of it. Who uses 12 bags even across two boxes, I know 3 bags probably equates to a lettuce, but come on 😂😂😂😂

Hi hannah you got your moneys worth with the meat you got I think who ever packed the boxes went mad with the lettice he or she could of gave you some veg or some spuds I don't like salad stuff if I would of bought a box the lettice would of gone in the bin it's not like you can freeze it you can't what about asking your mum does she want some or a friend love fran xxx❤
Hi Hannah good value boxes, I'd make a mixed salad bowl for Chloes friends, have some Iver the weekend with sandwiches, and freeze what's left. I once saw Jamie Oliver make soup with some lettuce....just a thought tfs
Something I have learned with iceberg lettuce is use it in a homemade smooth soup it does not add much taste but it’s better than wasting it and also lettuce has a a few different vitamins in so just adding extra goodness xxx
That's true, here in my country mother as encouraged to make baby food at home and baby's first soup is potato, carrot and lettuce as lettuce has calming properties.
If you know how to make your own pitas or tortillas, you can chop up the iceberg lettuce, add some diced onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes make a yogurt, garlic, and dill sauce and maybe with one of the turkey steaks fried up and cut in pieces you can really impress your teenage visitors.
The two bags are 100% worth £6.60 but jeez Aldi, there's a problem with stock levels if you have much lettuce that hasn't sold. I dunno, you could make some spinach parcels with tomato sauce and some cheese in them. Whack them into the air frier and see how it goes. 😂
Stick it on Olio Han, it will soon go to someone that needs it or drop off to a homeless shelter maybe if you have one close by? It’s a ridiculous amount of salad to give one person x
It's worth the money, but yes, 12 bags of lettuces is ridiculous. I don't know what you could do with all that lettuces besides give some bags away to neighbours, friends and maybe a food bank...

When I have too much lettuce, I chop it up and add to soup.
