It is considerably easier to start with the two screws on the back, shown at 1:44. This will allow the scanner unit to be lifted, giving much easier access to the first three screws underneath the unit, without the need to use any special tools. Also, in order to remove the document feeder hinges, they have to be pulled out vertically (it wasn't clear from the video due to the filming angle). I had to apply quite a bit of force, but be sure to apply it gradually, until they pop out.

You made a mistake in regeneration. You installed the housings incorrectly or small gills from the ground. Not under voltage on the charge roller or drum. You may have buckled the gills and there's no contact.

@@frank.s74 Same here with M2070FW , my scans has darkisch spots. And upon observation of the glass when cleaning I can see the other side of the glas is dirty with cloth streaks, perhaps from factory like that or static dust collecting.

What did you use to lubricate the rod and gears? I heard lithium grease is not good for plastic and rubber.
