The Burstner Eliseo C540 Is A Compact But Feature-packed Camper van

Today were taking a look at the Compact Burstner Eliseo C540 camper van at Southdown Motorhome Centre in Portsmouth. At only 5.4m this compact camper van packs in lots of features and would be perfect for a spot of wild camping.

I’m always wanting to know how well a bloke could fit in the shower (oooer missus). Is it possible for Southdown to loan you one so you can film moving about in the shower room area? This is looking like a really nice van and ticks all the design boxes for me - so my questions are about the space when in use ..

Ha ha well I do know a six footer that might struggle with the rear bed but the pop top would be big enough. Not sure Southdown motors have test vehicles available but I’d be happy to test any of them. 😀

What is your opinion re travelling with kids or dogs in this van? I think it might be a bit of a squeeze with two 10 year olds or one labrador? In fact in the driving position is there floor space for a big dog? Thanks!

I’d say this kind of van is more suited to a couple or at least smaller kids, although I know several families with dog in tow who squeeze into the seemingly tiniest spaces. I think we’d struggle with both large dogs but it’s a fabulous van.
