I used to go to Benidorm every November for the fiesta, all the Brits went there then. We would meet the same guys every year. 8 years running from the early 90’s. Sticky Vicky was in her prime. Cafe Benidorm and the old Champions were our favourite places. We would go out at midnight and do the walk of shame at 7 am. Such great memories. I’m now 73 but still have a fondness for Benidorm. November was still warm.
Never been but thinking of going for the winter months. Rather spend money on partying than paying energy bills in UK Getting on a bit myself now but will not grow old gracefully. Been looking at renting an apartment in a tower block for 3 months, rather than paying for a hotel. would like to know your experiences as regards winter months and accommodation. TIA
We are in our 70’s & 80’s but still enjoy the strip even if it’s just people watching. Where we stay overlooks the square and very often we watch The Beachcomber throwing out between 7/8am when we are having our first coffee on the balcony. We love seeing people enjoying themselves as long as there is no trouble. Back in 5 weeks for another 5 week stay and looking forward to it. 🌞⛱🩳🏖🌞
Regarding the £85 a day issue, after looking into it a little (as I am not the brightest lol) it comes across like this to me. As most people have only known the UK to a part of the EU all the Spanish Authorities are doing is reminding us of an existing law. Now we have left the EU we are classed as a third country (not third world country) so anyone from New Zealand or Norway for example, the same rule applies to them. In my personal view ( for what it's worth) I do not think it will be an issue, as Spain relies on us British tourists to help their economy. Keep up the good work Lucy!
This is what any Brit who's never visited Benidorm thinks the whole of Benidorm is like lol. Reality is it's a small area easily avoided if it's not your thing.
Loved watching this! My days of going out in places like this are long gone, which I'm glad about! But it's great to see all the young uns having a drink and a laugh and remembering when it was me! There really is something for everyone in Benidorm x
Just come back from my first ever visit to benidorm. We went mainly for the football, as Wolves were playing in Alicante but fans stayed in benidorm. What a blast we had... so much fun in the day, time to relax, then complete madness on the night. Ive always been put off Benidorm as folks i know always said it was Blackpool in the sun.... But it really isnt... its actually a really nice place to go for not only the madness but a relaxing holiday with great surroundings. Defo booking up again next year now ive broke my cherry. Loved it !! Great video.... keep up the great work you do.

We found it by accident when we were there in June not our cup of tea but was interesting walking through. This would be much more to our youngest sons taste he is out in Ibiza at the moment having a fab time in the clubs but hoping to come to Benidorm with us some time in the future.
Great video Lucy my Gran used to go to benidorm every year in the mid 60s with her friend and they loved it seemed to be all Spanish Dancers castinets and bullfights then to me as a young lad its changed a bit now it seems but i have still yet to visit!! On my bucket list!!

Been 5 times with the lads an only ever went the square. Rough as toast an lawless after dark but boss laugh. Went with the family an saw the Spanish part an its completely different. Some lovely parts.
Hi the 2nd time we went to Benidorm was summer of 2006 during July and we regretted it as it was so hot that we weren't use to it plus we had a horrible time in the Pueblo compared to the lovely time we spent there the year before, the entertainment wouldn't let the British join in day or night so we ended up going on the square, we got ushered into one of the clubs with a buy 0ne get one free ticket, and we thought it would be like the UK where i paid for my pint and got my wife's drink free, oh boy was i wrong as it was the opposite because we paid for both drinks and it was the shots that was the free drinks and we ended up staggering out after a couple of hrs but we enjoyed it we kept going back for the rest of our holiday, whereas in 2005 we didn't need to leave the hotel as it was all inclusive, but we booked the same hotel on all inclusive again and after we completed all the payments for the holiday we was informed that the Pueblo had stopped doing the All inclusive package but they would honour our booking as we had paid in full before they stopped it, but when we got there they wouldn't honour the booking and out holiday rep did nothing to help and when we got back home first choice only gave us £25 back each for a 2week holiday that cost at the time £1200 we never used them again or went back to the hotel, instead we used TUI ( Thomson at the time )and we stayed in the Flamingo oasis and we wish we had booked 2 weeks as it was that good free bottles of champagne whenever we wanted it from 8am til Midnight

Hi lucy i wonder if you can help.we are bringing our son who has special needs on holiday on the 26th august for 10 nights.we usually hire a 3 wheel tricycle from ebici hire.but this year they have said they dont have one. If you know of anywhere that would have one we would be very grateful as it is such an important part of his holiday because he gets exercise instead of being in his wheelchair all the time x

I think some of it looks fun ha but maybe my apartments is too close to it it though might move more into the old town does the old town have music and comedy shows also ?

I miss it already I remember walking out my hotel because I had a argument with my dad I walked out . I was walking round Benidorm going down the strips and clubs it got so dodgy but it was one of the best experiences of my life and I’m not even a adult yet all the clubs don’t care how old you are they will let anyone in . I had British people coming up to me asking if I want to buy some coke lol aka drugs lol I definitely miss it

Since I was last there 17 years ago for 6 months on a working holiday... Its disappointing but it looks like The Square Strip Club has taken over the downstairs basement club that the Hipperdrome was in... That was part of its appeal. As for it being the best Strip Club in Benidorm it probably is if your measuring it against Anna's 😂😂😂... get yourself down the Black Chicken 🐔

Had many a great night down there, great memories and times.
My nights at Cafe B are a thing of the past. Remember staying at Rio Park once and it took us about 45 mins to walk back so so drunk. Too old now 😂😂😂😂

On the strip road early on yes, depending on the type of show. but the more family friendly bars are away from the main nightlife area.

This is not my cup a lot of noise I prefer other shows where There's dance and music would you inform me cause I'm visiting Benidorm in two weeks and unfortunately I'm going alone this time and I really want to enjoy my holiday

I miss it already I remember walking out my hotel because I had a argument with my dad I walked out . I was walking round Benidorm going down the strips and clubs it got so dodgy but it was one of the best experiences of my life and I’m not even a adult yet all the clubs don’t care how old you are they will let anyone in . I had British people coming up to me asking if I want to buy some coke lol aka drugs lol I definitely miss it

Since I was last there 17 years ago for 6 months on a working holiday... Its disappointing but it looks like The Square Strip Club has taken over the downstairs basement club that the Hipperdrome was in... That was part of its appeal. As for it being the best Strip Club in Benidorm it probably is if your measuring it against Anna's 😂😂😂... get yourself down the Black Chicken 🐔
From what you have shown, Benidorm does not seem very Spanish. Are all the towns near the Costa Blanca similar?

Not my ‘cup of tea’ but great vids. 😊 I’m a bit old for this type of malarkey. Been there, done that. Love your honesty, travelled plenty and love Andalusia, rather than Benidorm TBH so more of a ‘culture vulture’. Like the traditional food and history. Can’t say a Benidorm ‘Lesbian Show’ or ‘Sex on Segways’ has any appeal to me. Plus it does kick off….
