It’s strange how the best Dead Rising entries are nostalgic for lots of kids despite being rated M for Mature, even playing them now they were never really trying to be all that dark or overly graphic. there was a certain feeling of whimsical fun I used to have on DR1 at like age 6 despite the relative horror even when the mall music stopped and the lights turned off. Capcom used to know how to make killing zombies fun as hell

Watching him play it, i was so intrigued and wanted to play it myself so badly. After he had to return the game to Blockbuster I remember going on TH-cam and consuming as much deadrising content as possible, anticipating the day i would finally be able to play it myself. I eventually did get it for Christmas, but was always too scared to do anything more than run around Paradise Plaza killing zombies lmao. Now I know the Willamette Mall like the back of my hand, and cannot wait to revisit it this September!
I definitely want TJ back but if we dont get him im remaining optimistic for the new VA and the remaster as a whole looks AMAZING. we need to just be grateful that we are even getting a remake/remaster at all, as i thought the series was…well… dead
