      How do we drag this into studio one once downloaded. I tried and it didn’t go in.

    Male rock 2 eq, male vox 2 compressor, bd limiter 30% multiband compressor, medium studio reverb, sweeten vocal delay 1.5-3%, de-esser and limiter at 0 or -1db. I used that for years on rap vocals and it sounded pretty cool.

      where do i find the bd limiter and the studio reverb and the delay or do i gotta pay for those?

    Hey man, cool video. I'm still using studio One 5, and if I remember correctly I think there is a De Esser preset in-studio one's stock compressor. I've used it a bunch, just tweak it once you put it on a vocal

    If you want anything to sound punchy, always put the compressor in the last position. Everything else has to be before the compressor. It sounds better.

    why are you putting the dsr so late in the mix? I like to de-ess earlier in the chain so compression doesn't crank the sibiliance.

    • @nicrollo
      @nicrollo  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's maybe a slightly more uncommon way to de-ess that I was told about a while ago! I've found having it last in the chain means I can make the vocal nice and bright and then hit the de-esser a lot harder than I could otherwise if it was earlier in the chain. I don't think there's really a right or wrong way to go about it though, start of chain works well too!

    What is an alternative we can use for Multiband Dynamics plug in because Studio One 5 Artist doesn’t have it

    Which boom arm are you using?

    • @nicrollo
      @nicrollo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it's the Rode PSA1+ Boom Mic Arm! It's great, although I need to oil mine since it's squeaky lol

    I’m not seeing how to drag in the free vocal preset once it’s downloaded I click on it to drag in and it didn’t do anything. Thanks.

    • @nicrollo
      @nicrollo  ปีที่แล้ว

      What version of Studio One are you using? You should be able to just drag it onto a audio channel and it'll be there (and then you can save it as a chain), or I thought if you double clicked it would automatically go into a 'Nic Rollo' chain file.
