Eddie said that when he went to Buffalo to record this at Rick’s studio/home, he got stuck there for two week because of a massive snow storm. He said that those two weeks where some of the best times he ever had in his life.

You should have heard the Radio DJ’s absolutely dreading having to play it! Weren’t laughing anymore after it became #2 on the charts for 3 WEEKS!!

I knew it was a hit back then...but I forgot this song stayed #2 on Billboard Top 100, for 3 weeks. Second only to Say You, Say Me, by Lionel Richie. To take in the full scope of what that means, you would have to really understand that era. It was the sound of that era. To be on the Top 100, wasn't that easy, because it was all genre's, it wasn't broken up into just RnB, Pop, Rap, Rock or whatever. It was everybody. Love his reggae music, but that doesn't take away from this!! Even makes all of the Charlie Murphy tales, that much funnier and interesting. LOL

Try listening to some Ashford and Simpson, Street Corner and Solid.. They wrote for artists from Ray Charles (let's go get stoned) to Chaka Khan'.
My favorite from Ashford & Simpson was a track called "Nobody Knows" released in 1979...
