I've been using ON1 Photo RAW 2023 for over a year already. And now ON1 Photo RAW 2024 MAX, which I find fantastic. The AI add to ON1 Photo RAW is great, but I appreciate that you do the majority of the image editing by hand using Develop, Local, Effect etc. Having AI do a good job is good, but understanding what’s going on is better. Thank you to all the team for excellent work.

I just picked up this program. I'm totally new to ON1, and I didn't understand half of what you said (as it applies in the program; I did know what you were doing), but I enjoyed watching the processing. I need to watch more tutorials and put together a list of shortcuts. ;)

This was valuable. The photo filter using skylight is new to me and a technique I will try. Great job as always.

Excellent video...keep them coming! The new UI is terrific! Question: is there a way to pin the masking properties "floating box" somewhere off the image. vs. just moving it around the screen?b Thanks!

    • @ON1Photo
      @ON1Photo  ปีที่แล้ว

If you move it to a location on screen where you want it to be and save the image, it will remain in that location the next time you open a new image.

Thanks team super helpful learning the different methods to mask and apply filters. The performance increase in 2024 is definitely so good.

Thanks for this example, not too complicated but a really nice result.
I liked how you show the option in the menu after you use a keyboard shortcut as well. This helps people who use both methods.
I tried to play along with an image myself while watching and noticed that I dont have any "camera profiles" listed, that dropdown list heading under "camera profiles" does not exist in my installation, unless I have done something wrong

Did you click on the words 'camera profile'? Clicking should show and hide the drop down menu with the profiles.

Yes I clicked there, the same as the other grey menu options. Not sure what is going on.
Tone and structure undernieth open the submenu but nothing for camera profiles

Glad you like it! If you are using a raw image the camera profiles should appear

Thanks for the reply. I shoot raw plus jpeg and selected the jpeg by mistake. Oops that must have been the problem

I was doing well until you got to the masking. Will have to watch another video as I find the masking techniques still a bit confusing. It's such a good program.

Oh no! Ya, check out the other videos. I will make sure to fine-tune the masks in my next one

Really good videos, it has really helped me along. Not related to Landscape, but easy question. Will ON1 Raw possibly extend the number of photos allowed to Focus stack?
Do most people Focus Stack in two groups and then merge? Thanks for the help, I'm enjoying 2024 RAW, keep up the good work. Thanks, Don B

I was surprised you brushed some areas. I expected the dock to be a good place to use the line mask tool. I expected the Select AI to handle the water when you began applying the glow, too.

I don't know what goes wrong. I'm trying the test version before I decide whether to buy or not. But, each time my laptop freezes. I do sharpening and can't do anything anymore. Then I try to reset the sharpening, and my laptop freezes, showing "Progress - Preparing to edit - Rendering". On1 seems unworkable on my laptop, even when I bought a new one, and taking into account the requirements. And a cancel option on those progress pop-ups is no option. I spend hours to do a few pictures.

Nice to know it's not just me. I find it really difficult to get a good natural looking result with dark misty landscapes like that using ON1 while it's really easy with some other products. Apparently this video has the same issue. I also notice that the reflections of the clouds in the water do not change when the sky is darkened.

Not sure I like the way the masking property display gets in the way.

Is there anyway to make a property outline? I have realtors who want drone shots of properties, and was wondering if there was a way to make a outline.

You could do that with paint with color. Holding down the shit key will paint a straight line.
