@mindpump Adam constantly gets this one wrong. . . . For every One gram of carbohydrate stored in the body (as glycogen) there is approximately 2-3 grams of water retained.

There’s a difference between intra muscular water and intra cellular water I believe

Thank you for explaining this but I believe you got confused because I found this
Carbs are stored in the muscles and liver as glycogen, but glycogen also pulls water inside along with it. For every gram of glycogen you store, 3-4 grams (0.11-0.14 ounces) of water may be stored with it.

These guys live the fitness lifestyle and it’s more opinions that they are offering. Jim Staponni, Layne Norton and Andy Galpin are who you want to listen too.

When I take pre workout. A cpl weeks deep I start getting crazy low back pumps. Feels like all the blood and water in my body goes there.
Is this because high sodium and maybe since I sweat more I lose the potassium and magnesium?
Could I just be low on other electrolytes

All this talk about processed foods when you guys should be specifically saying carbohydrates. Salt WITH carbs is what causes water retention. If you were to eliminate carbs and go low carb, where you actually need MORE salt (sodium) it’s not going to cause water retention the same way.

"Salt WITH carbs is what causes water retention"
Go eat two pounds of bacon from the supermarket and report your results the following day.

@@chasepotter2376 It is you who are hopelessly ignorant.
There's a strict upper limit to carb bloat: the liver and muscles can only store so much glycogen (and bound water). Sodium bloat, on the other hand, has no hard upper limit.
You don't know the first thing about physiology. Typical dudebro 'roider.

    • @alexhauser5043
      @alexhauser5043 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@chasepotter2376 The body can only store so many grams of carbohydrates as muscle and liver glycogen. Each gram of glycogen is 'bound' to a fixed mass of water.
On the other hand, there's no hard upper limit to fluid retention induced by excess sodium intake.
This is basic physiology. You haven't the faintest notion of what you're talking about.
Now, go complete the exceedingly simple homework that I assigned you.

Unless you have a very good reason to cut you probably shouldn’t, think about how much your muscles will be flatter and depleted looking

For me it's 5 months now. No matter what I do. Watchin tons of video s about it. I did found out it's not good to do intermittent fasting while your in perimenopause! So I quit that one. Next possible issue could be the mirena iud. Going to the gp this week, again 😢

@@graysongalich4053 that's not very nice, have some respect please. In my case my body was holding water for about 7 months. Could have been a year also. But I have found out it was the IUD that did this!! There could be a number of reasons with water retention. Heartfallure, not drinking enough water, red and white blood cells etc etc etc. So hold your horses before you try to put someone down bully. this says everything about you.
