In today's vlog we have a mini celebration for Tim's very first Father's Day! We're planning on having the full celebration this coming weekend while we also celebrate Jackson's 7 month milestone! We can't wait! We started the day with giving Tim his first Father's Day shirt and he loved it! We also talk about how Tim feels for his first Father's Day and at the end of the vlog we answer some first time parenting questions that we've been asked and we even talk about more kids, we're always asked if we want more kids so we answer that! Tim does puts together his new LEGO kit, then he wanted to show his progress to you but the baby was asleep so he did a little LEGO ASMR for you lol. Then we have some dinner and make some popsicles and take the baby upstairs for some tummy time before bed. We had such a fun day with the baby and we hope you had fun hanging out with us at home today! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

This is one of my favorite home vlogs to date! I don’t think I stopped smiling once. Tim’s reaction to the shirt was the cutest thing ever and seeing him be so excited and happy all day.. ugh my heart just breaks, but like in a good way haha! I hope to one day love someone as much as you both love each other. Oh and btw I accidentally call you guys Jim and Ten at least a few times a week 😂 Thank you for deciding to share your lives with the internet all those years ago, because now we get to see your sweet little family grow, and it’s just my favorite part of the day every day! ❤️
You're both doing such a fab job. My daughter is almost 18 and I am still learning every day!. The look of unconditional love he has for you both is so clear to see, that's a sign of fantastic parenting. Keep up the amazing job you're doing with him xx

Awww I LOVE how excited Tim is to be a Dad. It made me smile so much, his giddy-ness over the shirt. We wanted more than one as well, however my husband is 14 years older than I am. Our daughter is 8, I am now 36. We stopped trying when she was 4, because I didn't want a giant age gap. We also didn't think it would ever happen to begin with, so we feel super blessed to have even one

From one mom to another + Tim - it is suggested that you do not alter the noises (voices) in the house when the baby is sleeping. It is best to get them use to the noises around them when they are young to prevent sleeping issues later.
The innocence in Tim’s smile when he saw that shirt is what the world needs more of!

Such a fun idea with the matching shirts for Father's Day. Very cute and special. My mom had her house blessed. The minister went through every room of the house , even the garage and prayed blessings and protection over it all.

I had my son at 43 also. He’s now about to turn 11 and kids in school think I’m grandma. My two kids are 12 years apart. It’s possible to have healthy kids when you are older.
@@hallowthrifty2961 That's to old its not healthy for mother & baby, it would be a high risk pregnancy, my doctor said the best age for a women to have a baby is between 18 - 27 yrs old. I am 40 and waiting for my oldest who is 21 to give me grand-babies. I got no plans of have a baby at my age f*%k that I am waiting for my grand-babies hopefully it wouldn't be to long now.
& my two son's were born 9 yrs apart
My great grandma was 47 when she had her last. Which gives me hope because I’m currently 39. I had my first and second babies at 28 and 30 but they passed away during their birth, my ex refused to allow me to have anymore. So due to reasons more than just kids we decided to end our marriage several years ago. I met my prince a few years ago and we married last Christmas Eve. Here’s hoping for a rainbow.
EVERY parent has gone through that feeling of “I’m not doing a good job” as a parent. Even though it doesn’t feel like it in the moment, you guys are doing an awesome job. I’ve literally had moments in the beginning when I had to put my baby down in a safe place and just went somewhere and cried because I was trying everything and nothing worked but I did feel a little better stepping away for 5 min. Just make sure to take some time out for yourself when you can even if it’s small moments.
That external mic you used in yesterday’s video had amazing, rich sound compared to the one on the camera.

I remember having the same feelings as Tim, and then one day you realize something was "the last". Like, the last time he fights sleep, the last time he nurses, the last time he wants you to read him a bedtime story.... you never realize one day will be that last time. Suddenly they are 14 and in high school!😥
Yeah my son turned 5 and I am dreading the “lasts” still to come.... I don’t want him to stop wanting me there until he falls asleep.... or last cuddles during movies etc..... watching them grow is both the most rewarding and the most heartbreaking thing simultaneously.
This made me cry. My dd is 13 and so many of those last things have passed already! You never really, truly understand what bittersweet means until you have a child.
Their sleep patterns change so much! We had to cut out 1 nap to help with nighttime. Thanks for your daily videos. It has helped get through these long days!

I love that you guys will have these amazing videos to look back on. My mom passed away in March and I had to dig up old VHS home movies to see her again. Jackson will have such great videos to watch years from now.

I love how excited Jen was about Tim's 1st Father's Day. And I loved Jungle Jim's. It was one place we'd go offsite for when at Disney.
Y’all talked about Dolly Wood on the last live show. I was there Thursday and they were very strict in regard to masks, social distancing and cleaning things. However the rest of the area (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge) was not. Very few businesses required masks or had reduced capacity.

i lost my father 6 years ago right before my 21st birthday, so fathers day is always really hard for me. this home vlog was probably one of my favorites, it was so heartwarming and seeing Tim trying on the shirt and talking about how much love he has for Jackson made me tear up. You can dry your leaves and crush them for later use :) it's what I do, also basil is great for propagating which is what Tim did for the outside Basil. Mint also grows everywhere! Always best to separate it into separate pots. So happy to see you growing things :D

Regarding Jackson’s sleeping. I would talk to the dr. about if it is time to reduce the naps during the day. He should not need nighttime feedings anymore now that he has doubled his weight. I remember the pediatrician telling me to stop nighttime feedings once my daughter doubled her birth weight.
Agree with you guys. He shouldn't need night feedings at this age and weight and should sleep thru most of the night. Coming from mom of 2 grown daughters and a pediatric nurse.
Yeah we started putting a little bit of cereal in my daughters bed time bottle and it helped her sleep all the way through the night without waking up to be fed

Wonderful Vlog. Welcome to parenthood Tim, I think that period of unpredictably will continue throughout life but your both handling it so well. Equally my mum could not have anymore children, even though she wanted a football team, so I was brought up as an only child. It was a lovely childhood and yes I was envious of friends with bigger families but I really had a great time with my parents and would not swap it for the world. You are such a wonderful family, thank you for sharing.

When my husband had his heart attack(age 47yo) , we went to health class at the grocery store and they recommended Rao’s.
For ghosts it depends on the type of haunting, some are like a repeated record, some can only stay in one area, but some can actually travel to one place to another, my aunt used to have this older man who would leave, then come back. Love the videos! Jackson is getting so big!

Tim, Happiest Father's Day! I want to Thank you for being so open and honest about your feelings on being a new Father. I'm sure it will help other parents who feel the same way. I was very moved when you talked about feeling less than. I often had the same thoughts as a new Mom. I felt like as soon as I got good at something it would change. I know now that is normal and teething doesn't help either but it's fun and rewarding to watch them grow. You're a Great Husband to Jenn and Father to Jackson. P.S. Don’t be embarrassed about a toot, everyone toots. When my husband does he always blames our dog and I swear now Everytime the dog farts she looks at him as if to blame him for it.
It's pronounced RAY-O's, and YES! There is a Restaurant on East 114th! I've lived in NY my WHOLE LIFE and have not YET been able to get a reservation! Ha! There are only like 8 tables in the whole place and they are always booked! I called last January and they were booked for THE YEAR and said they were not taking any reservations and to try again after the New Year!! Also! TIM!! Take the LEAVES from the BASIL and USE THEM ON YOUR FOOD!!!! Pick them off and eat them as they grow and the plant will produce more!! If you don't want to eat them yet, wash and freeze them to add to your meals throughout the year!
Jackson is just so adorable! When our son was about this age he wouldn't sleep by himself. So he would sleep about 3-4 hours then wake up and we couldn't get him back to sleep on his own. We ended up letting him sleep in bed with us and we started getting a wonderful 8-10 hours of sleep a night. Good luck! Do what's best for your family!
I feel you Tim. We have a 8 month old girl and once you feel like you are getting something down it changes! So many changes all the time! And Jen I was the same when with pregnancy tests I always just "knew" it would be negative (it took us 7 years) so when it was positive you think it's a lie. Happy First Father's day!
Yes- get a doll! My boys (22 months apart) had a doll. They both carried it around in a baby carrier, and when my younger son was born my older one fed and changed his baby. It was the kind you could give a bottle of water to and it would use the potty. Extra bonus- helped during potty training! They usually liked playing with blocks and trucks, but sometimes they just wanted to parent a doll.
If you want Jackson to have a companion, you could consider adopting. Also great video. Happy Fathers Day!
