You can see his mastery over movement as he goes further and further, path of pain isn't good because it's hard (it is) but because it teaches you true mastery over hollow knight's movement. Because only through pain can you become stronger (or some other philsophical shit idk)

The most painful thing out the PoP, is that I can get to the last part but never beat it. I literally spent an entire day trying to beat that last goddamn part.

People always say to equip hiveblood, but my go to is always deep focus, grubsong, and grubberfly's elegy. Taking two points of damage gives you more than enough soul to heal back two masks, so you basically have infinite soul to heal, and you don't have to wait ten seconds between attempting a part
The only part I took a long time doing was the part right before the 2 guards battle. It had only taken me 25 minutes up until that point, but that final section took me 40. So IDK if the rest of it is easy but for me it didn't seem to difficult.

It's all relative, I guess. When I first did PoP I thought it was hard. Then, when I came back from doing all the King Trials and Mausoleum levels in Aeterna Noctis, I thought PoP was a joke, lol.
I beat path of pain a few days ago. Went back and beat it every day since. Once I defeat the void knights, I get out of the file. Why? The other two files I completed the Path of Pain and cannot go back on that save file. Thorns, buzz saws, and retractable spikes are wierdly fun!
Hiveblood, Deep Focus, Quick Focus, and Grubsong were my charms when I did Path of Pain. (If you don't have enough charm notches its fine to shed Quick Focus) Also, I wouldn't recommend charms that extend your nail, as that can get you into trouble when pogo-ing. Other then that you just have to git gud.
i was once at the final room before the fight then i got bluescreened 2 times one at the room and another when i restarted my computer to get internet back
