The Black Bomber was the first big bike I ever rode in 1968. My motorcycle experience at the time was about 200 miles on a Cub 90. I did stall it a couple of times until I got the hang of the clutch. It was easy to ride. These days I've gone full circle and I've got a Honda 500F. It's awesome, better in every way being modern, but just as much fun.

The number of Oldtimers that Arthur has is unbelievable and fantastic to see, and feel his enthusiasm for these exquisite maschines. Time and again, "The Classic Motorcycle Channel" finds so many different bikes for us to dribble over, however we never get to see a DOUGLAS. even other similar channels don't feature any Douglas's..., where have they all gone? So my question is now, yeah you've guessed it, when will we get to see one on THIS channel? Maybe I could add a big Please, hoping that might encourage you to find one! Oh, and as we're on the subject of "missing" oldtimers, does anybody remember Francis Barnett? (oh my, I hope i'm not showing my age too much here)!

What great machines , a few retro's are trying to capture the beauty of these machines-from-the-past (W650 etc) but they are hard-acts to follow.. Dave nz
Even though my grandfather and all my family history before him on my father's side is from England, seeing this collection is probably the biggest reason to make the trip to visit my ancestors.😂
Brilliant ! another fab video. Loooove the Hesketh, I remember seeing it for the first time in the early 80s but it is sadly another example ( thinking of Norton) of asset stripping and financial jiggery pokery whilst simultaniously breaking the hearts of those hoplessly optimistic bikers that the British bike industry was making a comeback.
The Indian Velo illustrates how old-fashioned Velos were by 1969. The Indian is bang up to date for the time, but the standard Venom looks like a vintage bike.
Mmmm it was ok but one of the few bikes I never fell in love with so sold it. Disappointed with it I’m afraid and it was a jolly good one too. For mid capacity bikes of late 60s I’m not sure what…a Velo Venom of Thruxton is a nicer overall machine and a few years later a Morini 500 is superb and real FUN I’ve never tried a Suzuki 500 two-stroke and it’s a long while since I’ve read the Triumph 500 so the jury as I say is out on that
its a development of mac vello it would be interesting to compair the 700cc version made by mr i can see his face cant remember his name of course this all stems from Phil Irving read his books Rich Mixture / Black Smoakstill cant remember ttfn&ty
@@DUR599 My wife was into those hay burners. We had a rule in our house: One more motorbike means one new horse. And vice versa. My friend use to joke. But at least yours do not idle all winter! Great collection here! Sitting in my rest home. I went from 21 to zero!

Sometimes I take great joy in letting others experience my machines - there is a full riding video of the 1938 VINCENT twin but not on this channel
Actually the riding video is on this channel ……1938 ridden Vincent twin…you get a great feel from this riding experience

You can definitely see where Yamaha got their SR500 Ideas looking at the Indian Velo.
