Julia before you do surgery I would recommend you get the book THE IODINE CRISIS and it gives many stories of women who simply put iodine over the ovary area on their skin and through time they got rid of the cyst. In addition they often would take it orally. Google that and you're probably get a lot of stories as well. Almost everyone is iodine deficient and all women who get cysts and the cyst of course are precursor to cancer r iodine deficient. The thyroid will grab any iodine they can get first and if there's any left over it goes to the ovaries and the uterus and it is involved in hundreds of processes that occur within the body. The fact is not only are we deficient in D3-- which I also highly recommend if you are not on the supplement-- we are also deficient in iodine. Eating salt does not give you nearly the amount of iodine in your body needs to function and to keep cancer at Bay
I wrote you one reply and it just got erased so I'm going to make it short : GET the book THE IODINE CRISIS , read it and you will see another way other than surgery to get rid of your cyst. Or simply Google: DOES Iodine get rid of ovarian cysts?
@@juliciahernandez3566 I'm glad to hear that. I'm curious about the concentration of the iodine you take and the amount you take daily and also the quality of the iodine you take . J Crow is said to be excellent but I prefer lugols because that was the original iodine created by Dr Lugol in Germany. In all events I would definitely apply it to your skin in the area of the ovary which you can find by googling a map of the human female body. When I was younger I had cyst on my ovaries & on my breasts and I had so much concern . WHEN they told me they were benign, they were so dismissive which actually wasn't the correct way to make a patient feel honored let alone that they were the master of the ship and deserve to be in control of their body and we're simply taking precautions to prevent cancer!! I realize now they should have told me to take iodine and they also should have told me definitely to apply it topically to the area at hand. I've always lived near the Pacific Coast or the Atlantic coast and in those cases you get a lot of iodine from the air and probably do not need it but now for 4 years I've lived in Texas and not near the ocean . SO I realized I must be deficient and I need it. I take a very small amount but I still feel it's important because although I worried constantly when I was young I would get breast cancer because they kept pushing that down our throat, it's actually once you reach your 60s and 70s that you are more liable for breast cancer, let alone ovarian cancer. I took two Pfizer jabs and it is known that in the ovaries is the greatest concentration of those Spike proteins in the forum especially of the nano lipid in which the spike protein was encapsulated so it would be received by the body. ALL women who got that jab have increased their risk of ovarian cancer which is a silent killer. Regardless of whether u go under the knife I'd get a second and even a third opinion. Regarding iodine i take 12.5 mg which is a minimum. . MANY people take 50 mg and some take in the 100s depending on the needs of their body. BECAUSE like with thyroid, if you've ever had a problem with that, you must play it by ear as well as working with your endocrinologist. Be that as it may, they often know nothing about iodine because the medical schools in the 1970s changed their attitude toward iodine deciding it was a poison based on a study done in 1970s that was completely fallacious-& incorrectly done. I got the BOOK--THE IODINE CRISIS --from my library and they can also order if the library doesn't have it. IT'S been around a decade. Good luck 🍀🍀
Oh to those of you who hear well and cannot stand the beeps. How about using the paradigm of someone who has hearing loss. Turn the sound off and use closed captions. I did not even know there was beeping background noise.
i had mri, left arm; during the process i had my eyes closed, for no special reason, and i had 2 visions, repeated twice: the first one was like a yellow windshield wiper moving from left to right on a white background; i opened my eyes and there was nothing there; the second one was like a white wall covered with small yellow lights which randomly turned on-off like some fireworks of a small yellow lights on a white background, again opened my eyes and again nothing there. Never found an explanation for these visions, or another person who'd had them.
Unfortunately since I have a dead pacemaker no Mri. On the CT scan they thought vasculitis of the brain. Big waste of time because they believe probably inaccurate.
I had back surgery...TWICE in 5 months, still have a lot of pain and told them all along there was something more to this other than the impinged L3-4 nerve. But they literally ALL looked at me like I was crazy and just wanted to do a Fusion the second time. I have felt the entire time that there is something else, be it a ligament issues, hip, bone cancer, just SOMETHING....so I have been thinking I want a full MRI of that area, but since they all stare at me....haven't figured out how to accomplish this. Any suggestions @DavidPerlmutterMD? I also had a radiologist tell me I didn't have an appendix, it was already removed. UM NO I had never had surgery prior to that, he was insisting, the Dr. said he finally found it after being pushed. The surgeon said it was two times the normal size. (insert eye roll)
Hi there, David! I have been trying to contact you through your email address regarding some business offer... It seems like the email address is not valid - I would appreciate it if you could share the correct email address with me. Your videos are just great!

I'm a retired MRI Technologist and found this fascinating. Working on this project would have been a dream job for me while I was still in the field.
Thanks so much for doctor
Question: why do a mamogram if has radioactivity and not use MRI for scanning for breast cancer?
My cousin had a clean mammogram after a lumpectomy.....someone told her to get a MRI....that resulted in a double mastectomy. So you are spot on here!
MRI is probably more expensive and insurance might not want to cover it unless there is a clear indication for it.

A friend was diagnosed with state 4 cancer. No symptoms other than back pain.
👍 3T generates more dielectric effect artifacts than 1.5T.
Does this type of MRI pick up on if there is myocarditis or ever was?
for the pacemaker cant you just have it turned off for the MRI?
No, it is implanted and the metal in the pacemaker is the issue. Some of the newer ones don't have this issue.
@@Angel283 thanks
Cant we scan at a dna cellular level ?
Had a MRI for back pain and found ovarian cysts and fibroids. I had no Idea I had them and now will most likely have surgery to remove....

@LadyBug1967 I take d3k2 daily as well as an iodine supplement for about 4 years now.

I don't hear any beeping either!!! Oh... there it goes. Not very many.

Sorry couldn’t listen with the constant beeping in the background! Wish he had interviewed in a quiet place.
I wish there was a guest talking about the cons of total body MRI. This is too one sided.
Very informative but that beeping in the background is very annoying
Have you tried turning the sound down and using closed captions?
Better to do MRI neck brain as well as abdomen pelvis. Do CT chest and heart. MRI is not that useful in the chest.
The beeping is SUPER distracting.
Unfortunately since I have a dead pacemaker no Mri. On the CT scan they thought vasculitis of the brain. Big waste of time because they believe probably inaccurate.
I can't handle the beep.
I'm out
