      @@GirishAdhi1985 Although I get your point, I think that the drone view helps in that sense that we will never be able to see those places from that angle and also some of us will never be able to own a drone. So it helps us to see this beautiful world from a different angle.
      I am a photographer and hiker. I appreciate the work that drone owners put into their videos. When I want to see a place from human eye perspective and capture still photos, I just visit the place myself!

    REMINDER!
    Dolomites are mountains and to go to the mountains you need right equipment (starting from right shoes, sneakers are NOT the right shoes) and check the weather.
    Going to the mountains unprepared it could be dangerous!

    • @gpaoletti6923
      @gpaoletti6923 5 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Exactly and even with the right shoes you don't run on narrow trails you don't know. I think promoting this kind of behaviour is absolutely irresponsible! There are already enough people dying on those mountains because of negligence.
      By the way Seceda is not a town at all. It's the name of the meadows at the top the gondola. The villages you see there are Selva di Val Gardena and others

    • @kilianbader9786
      @kilianbader9786 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Come on the places he recommended are tourist traps. 10000 italian people a day don't die there. It's like the illusion of beeing on a mountain but in reality its just a show.
      Beautiful places though

    • @patrickhuber8691
      @patrickhuber8691 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@kilianbader9786 yeah its true that are only a few deaths... because of the great rescue teams that we have!
      They have a lot of work because of the unprepaired people!

    • @Sturmschweif98
      @Sturmschweif98 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@kilianbader9786 doesn't matter if tourists or locals, people die because they endanger themselves. Falling off a cliff, crashing against stone walls, mauled by a bear or a cow, buried in a snowslide, doesn't matter. A lot of fatal injuries can be avoided because of our highly professional rescue teams. Believe me, we don't want most of the tourists who turn our mountains into a "show". More people just need to know how to behave.

If you go near Bz, the night temperature in that period might be around 20 ºC (68 F), but if you go just a little further, like Bressanone or on the mountains, it drops to 10 ºC (50 F) or less. And besides, often in the afternoon - evening, there are thunderstorms on the mountains, so the temperature drops quickly. Don't worry, you won't suffer the heat😉

    The Dolomites are a truly sacred locale for me since seeing them peaking up over the rims of the hills west of Brixenin 2001. Although my left ankle & knee no longer allow it, I managed Peitlerkofel in 2003 & still visit the SchmatzerHütte (a half hour walk from Palmschoss where most must park their cars or motor bikes) every 2 years or so. There are plenty of trails from the Schatzerhutte (elevation about 2,000 meters) for all levels of climbing & hiking & the Dolomiten views from this wonderful facility are truly spectacular. Breakfast & dinner are included in the over nite prices which vary depending on the size of accommodations required.

      @@RyanShirley I want to live there permanently one day as we live in Australia. I spent 15mths there n loved seeing the weather changes, mushroom picking etc especially mini blizzard as we don't get snow in Sydney. The Dolomites are awesome. I really loved your video n I have seen many videos done by drones on the dolomites. Hope you get to go back soon. But... always respect those mountains as they can be dangerous. Thanks heaps again. P. S. I love Lago di Braies. Try sleeping there too! I did. And yep dad is from there!

    Great video and great places. But what you have shown here are just the 5 most famous, and most crowded places in the dolomites. Next time, go to the southern part too, the mountains are as beautiful as these, but way more wild and free from tourists.

    • @RyanShirley
      @RyanShirley  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where would you recommend I visit in the South?

    • @antoniovalandro5652
      @antoniovalandro5652 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, first of all you should visit the area around Cortina. In the mountains around the town you should take the cableway up to Lagazuoi, which has one of best views of teh eniter dolomites, or walk to the Lago del Sorapiss, which probably one of the most surprising lakes in the alps. These two can be quite crowded in summer, so I suggest you to go there in september, or in June. For something a bit less crowded, you should drive to Passo Giau, from where you can reach the Cinque Torri, the Nuvolau and especially the Lago delle Baste. Outside the area of Cortina, you can go to Malga Ciapela, from where you can take a cableway up to the Marmolada, the highest peak of the dolomites hosting the only surviving glacier of the region. Last, but not least, you should really go to Passo Rolle, from where you can easily walk to Baita Segantini, definitely a must see.
      I'm looking forward to see another awesome video showing some of these places. If you need more suggestions, just ask

    I live in the Dolomites and I would like suggest to everyone, especially young people that like to hike a lot, the so called "Alte Vie" (High Tracks) that are very long series of tracks to follow walking during the day and sleeping in the refuges. You can walk until one week or more without descending in the villages.
    There are 8 "Alte Vie". The first 5 are classics, the last 3 are for wilderness lovers.
