This video really helped me thanks, my hdd kept filling up too quick which stopped recording I done the self test and passed but the all evaluation failed so I done key area test it was all green so I done full detection and it’s stopped because the error count was too high so I am going to replace the hdd with the one you recommended hopefully that fixes the problem

What to do if the status of my storage says Repairing and I tried formating it by clicking Init but the initializing only goes 01% and always rebooting automatically after that.

Hi, I replaced what appeared to be a defective HDD with new one. The new HDD will not initialize , it will reach 20% and then status will return abnormal, tried rebooting DVR with and without new HDD still same issue. Any advice for this issue?

Are you using a surveillance hdd such as seagate or western digital?

The thing is that my HDD isn't even initializing, it stays at 20% and then the status changes to "abnormal" again.

Perhaps the hard drive is defective, have you tested a new one?

I can't try a new one because the one I talk about is at my workplace. We don't have any spares. Anyway, I tried and managed to update it to a new version, still hoping it's a glitch. It's not. I told my manager about it anyway. We'll replace it soon. @@bestsecuritydevices

The hard drive was changed. It was the only solution.
