hikvision nvr ds-7608ni-ev2/8p: one out of the 8 channel ports in the rear face of nrv is not flashing orange/green lights. It is not working.Other 7 channels are working fine. Feed coming in from all 8 cameras is normal. Nvr age: 6 years. Any suggestions about what may be happening? What can be done to rectify issue?

Dude! This was the best video about cameras. Currently! I'm using the Iomega Storage (ix-200), which was acquired by LENOVO, under the name ix2, along with a CISCO router and PoE Switch (AXIS). So! With this Storage and the cameras (AXIS - PoE), I set up a "Monitoring system (DVR)", using SSD and HD units, with RAID-1. I deleted all the folders, leaving only the Movies folder, which contains recordings from the cameras (8 x Axis). In the future! I can share the video (TH-cam) with this information. Doing a search on the Site, I saw that AXIS has a "partnership" with the manufacturer Iomega. Today! LENOVO, because the camera installations are done "automatically". But! Do you have any "contact (email)"?

Thank you for the video, my hard drive won't initialize. The hard drive works on my dahua dvr but won't work on my hikvision, when I try to initialize nothing happens.

Would this also work without connecting to the router? I have an IP camera that works only wirelessly and has its own SSID.

When I go to add online devices I can see them but it says offline on the screen when I click on them I don’t get it I changed the gateway to my routers

My camera is showing the instant playback is working but when I try to play back the next day the information I will god is video not available

Thank you so much for this video, I was stuggling to understand how to get the camera to use the SD card as I was only accessing the camera VIA the app and seeing you using the IP made me realise what the issue was. Dont think I saw anything in the manual or any where else mentioning you can/should access the camera through its IP for more advanced controls etc.

A new power supply worked for me! My old one was 12V 2A output and wasn't detecting the hard drive after two years of running. Changed to a 12V 4A output power supply and it's recording now. I guess the old power supply must've been working too hard for it to fail. Thanks for the video!

A week ago, I replaced two broken WD 2 TB HDD with one new WD 6 TB with 256 MB cache memory for my Hikvision DVR. My DVR could not detect the new HDD. I contacted Hikvision and Western support teams for help, but I got no help from them. Then I contacted the seller. The seller told me to return the item for a refund. First I was afraid I will be charged for a restock fee. They said they will not charge me restock fee. I returned the item. I was thinking that maybe my DVR cannot support 256 MB memory . I purchased a new 6 TB with 64 MB cache memory . My DVR still cannot detect the 6 TB , 64 MB HDD. Today, after I watched your video, I replaced the original power adapter from Hikvision with an old higher power adapter for a different device. It works! Thanks!
