Trying to figure out if you have a rain-water collection system that your hose is attached to, cause if not and your hose is hooked up to the side of your house it's the exact same water as comes out the faucet inside. Also you should point out that your using the standard florescent tube grow lights which do need to be close to the plants like your doing, however if I put my basil 6" under my 300watt metal halide the moisture would be evaporated from the soil in minutes lol. Not saying this to be mean, I like that your doing a good job with what u have and I can tell your being sincere :) . Just try to use the right measurements like lumens for light, kelvin for spectrum, and the water in the hose is the same water as your faucet only it's running through a hot rubber hose thats leaches out chemicals of its own when exposed to sunlight for a long period.
