      The only reason I love it still is midi controller and doing random jams on battery power.
      Otherwise I’d get something newer by now. I’m selling mine for $50

    Hi, good morning, I'm trying to connect an akai xr20 drum machine via midi to my strike multipad (I have 2), which I can't get it to work from the alesis. I don't know if it has another midi configuration or what to do and I've tried everything The strange thing is that I have other older drum machines and they work without problems when connected, I tried my 2 alesis and it doesn't work, after giving up I connected the akai to the alesis sample rack and it works too. my query should the strike multipad have another midi configuration? I feel a little disappointed I bought 2 alesis for shoot drum machine and I can't get them to work. Could you help me with that, greetings from Chile :)

    This is exactly what I was looking for ( Akai & KORG ..) It was Perfect for me. Great tutorial , honest music writing, Humble & informative . ..
    I truly hope you have videos with the KORG VOLCAS - & the MiniNova
    ??

      Thanks so much for the kind words and I’m happy it helped you. Sadly I have neither the Volcas or the mini nova. I have a pretty bare set up with music equipment. Mostly just microkorg synths and the xr20 like in this video are my go to’s, which I’m pretty knowledgeable on but that’s about it. Good luck on all things music!

    • @LaceChaser
      @LaceChaser 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience the VOLCA series are pretty much toys unless you link everything right. Sort of like the Korg LittleBits I got for my ex who played synth. They are all fun, but don’t perform like larger equipment.

      @bpedleyjazzguitarist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaceChaser hey man. I've just got the volca bass and am quite impressed with the capabilities considering its size. I am new to synths but I can see the scope for recording already.
      I am a recording and working guitarist of 20 years but asbi said...have no experience on synths so may be speaking absolute crap.

    this is actually a pretty awesome and entertaining video. This guy HAS TO BE a former or current pro DJ. btw, predating Korg Volcas, these 2 pieces gave you some really great sounds for the time period that sounded extremely professional without having to shell out more than a grand. It was my main setup as well for several years for beat making. whats awesome too is that you can line thru the Korg through the Akai or plug a mic into the Akai and forego a mixer. imo pretty dry sounding to be doing vocals out of, but it works.

    • @IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio

      Hahaha thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Been recording music since 2000 as a hobby. Starting in my teens and now in my 30’s. I make music as a solo artist now under the name “Glowing Ice”. So there’s that haha.
      Oh I know, the microkorg when I first got it in 2006 made me feel like I had “made it”. Still love it, but now I record on a daw in my computer. It just speeds music production up so much I can bang out tracks more than I ever could this way.
      That drum machine how it glows blue is just plain cool as well 😎

    I have a question about the drum machine I have this drum machine and I wanna know can you connect this drum machine to a audio mixer and what are the tools to use it with the audio mixer ?

    • @IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio
      @IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sure you could as long as you have an instrument cable to plug both together. I’ve never tried it but it could definitely be workable. So an instrument cable would be needed and in order to actually hear it, you’d have to either plug your headphones into the mixer or plug a cable from the mixer into whatever system you have with speakers.

    • @hazemcdanill8336
      @hazemcdanill8336 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio I have a microphone cord and it can go into the audio mixer and my system

    • @IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio
      @IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hazemcdanill8336 you’ll need an instrument cable with the 1/4 inch jacks on each end for it to work. At least that’s my idea. A decent cable can run from 10-20 bucks at guitar center or any music shop. Amazon would probably be where I’d go.

    • @LaceChaser
      @LaceChaser 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it’s very possible and easy. You can use either instrument as a midi controller as well. Look into midi for beginners and you will be set in no time.

    If this video was cut to the last 60 seconds I would bet decent cash that the likes would increase heavily.
    I have both of those and this is the only video I found, but was looking for midi advice.
    Definitely skip the 15 minutes of talking about things you enjoy I’d say. But, the ending was pretty chill. Definitely no hate. Just some constructive criticism my friend.
    Might check out some of your other videos to see if there’s anything recent. If you have recording or MIDI videos that would be great.

      Thanks allot I really do believe in having & a life that's worth living. Having a wife who is willing to share and work together towards making each other happy, even when I ask to much of her. I will be sure to keep things fair and I do try to give back as much as I ask of her, which at times has been allot being a musician can be some what greedy at times.
      Like when you gotta have that new synth, the one that you didn't really need so badly the one you sold all the furniture, plus the washer & dryer to get.
      No Im kidding but I have seen it happen, these guys should have been used car salesmen.
      They sure know how to work & close those closest to them. Its Not cool at all.
      Be as good to those who
      love you, as you've been to yourself. No I take that back be better to them, they deserve more ! For being so supportive of us, damn old Musicians.
