- This student built her own Tiny House on wheels and now lives in her amazing home mortgage free!
Gabriella Grace was only 18 years old when she built her very own tiny house on wheels together with her father as part of a project for her final year of school. Now 20 years old, she has found an incredible spot for her home in New Zealand's capital city of Wellington.

Awww. She's so cute. She was really nervous speaking in front of the camera, lol. The sound system and party lights scream 20 yr old. It's basically a dorm-room on wheels. She'll add appliances and fixtures as she goes along. I'd love to see a revisit to this tiny house in 2020 to see what it looks like 5 years later. Great job young lady. I can see my daughter doing something like this.

How expensive is college tuition where you live?! That's insane. I know I live in a socialist country and app, but the idea of having to pay for SCHOOL? Not a fan.

@@tetrisgoat US schools associated with the state (public) schools offer instate tuition for 5-20k tuition a year. Private schools here cost 45k. Both figures only cover classes and campus resources. It does not cover food, housing, books, etc. Total comes out to about 70k if you go to out of state school or private school. What a lot of people do is go to local college for 2 years, then transfer to a traditional uni. Those local colleges cost less than 2k for tuition but generally lack the affluent connections to be made, lack a sense of unity/oneness. People are not proud to go to local community college and it's quite sad to be looked down upon or pitied because you don't spend 70k for something that should be free.
@@Officernoob There is a higher tuition cost, but you forget about financial aid and scholarships. My tuition and books were paid for by that combination.

She has created a lovely home. I got the giggles watching her, she was a little nervous which really just shows the genuine authenticity of the interview. An absolutely gorgeous view. Whenever i watch these videos they really move me to want to visit New Zealand. So happy you are back showing us the beauty and ingenuity of these homes and their owners! :-)

Good for her and her dad for his support. Most 18 year old don't have an idea what they are going to do. But I think it is great of the education system to have them look for something to do with a passion that they have. I mean wow she has her own place she can add things to the house as she see the need. Not what others have done and she may not have a need for. Like she needed a very nice sound system so she put one in. I like it great job Gabriella.

I am SO impressed with her! I wouldn't know where to begin on something like this, but I definitely want to learn.
Her dad probably built it for her. She doesn't seem to know about the actual construction of the shed. My 13 year old can describe how she helped build her bedroom better than this adult. Playing in cement, using hammers and drills is always fun when they are 8 years old.

I've developed this strange obsession for tiny homes, but being from the Netherlands it doesn't seem realistic (legally and financially) to ever do something like this myself. I have to say, this channel always makes me want to let go of convention and just try it anyway.. I love how the questions are focussed on the experience of having built and lived in these small homes. Also, this home looks awesome in a minimalistic way. But I'd never be okay with so little stuff. Will just keep dreaming of one day building a tiny home myself, but until then am looking forward to all your videos.

For a person who has been glued to watching every available episode,I must say that I found this particular one very interesting cause it was not about the design and ideas,but about the way this amazingly social lady explained everything that everyone was saying. I heard everyone else but I felt her explanations. It's also the only episode I posted a comment in as well. Great presenting Bryce as usual,ignore the gutter brained viewers. This is what I think of as a good reason to get into Tiny Houses. A lot of the one's I've seen on this channel have such a high cost and are over-engineered just for the person to say they are living behind their actual home or living on 60 acres. This seems affordable and practical.

First of all congratulatios for this amazing channel, is one of that I get excited to watch every new video. Congratulatios to gabriella to the dedication to one project to this importance to her life. I live in Brazil and I want so hard to build my own tiny house, my father have one big place with a lot of threes,and is a very amazing place. I´m in the college of architecture and I believe that the tiny house movement is the future of the house in the wolrd. But its so hard to get references of tiny houses that could work in brazil because our weather that could easy pass up to the 35°C. But I´m working in a project for my own house that I´ll build with my own hands, and thanks for the channel tha gives me inspiration to keep working on this project. And wen my house is ready you are invited to meet the brazil and meet my house, you dont have the right to say no! Congratulatios for the channel again. huggies on the heart..

You should have done dormers in the loft, it gives more head space, and/or just more space to move around. You could also use the window sills as end tables and if you made them wider you could have storage underneath the window sills 😊
