Copying to watercolor is GENIUS. MY 8th grader is going to be doing an ornithology study all year with Cornell's bird lab courses. We got the Dover Audubon coloring book. We'll have to try it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it isn’t young earth. I used to clarify for my kids but now they jump in to clarify. We believe in a Biblical earth age of approximately six thousand years old.
DK/Smithsonian ALWAYS has and *ALWAYS* will push the Evolution Narrative. Just FYI for future reference. We just skip over or verbally edit those pages/parts. (We do the same with any other common lies about our world and history...Vikings are another big one that most people have no clue we've been lied to about.)

Is the Dk book young earth or does it refer to millions of years ago?
