THANK YOU THIS VIDEO MADE ME MORE calm before my EOY oral tmrrr. The problem is i cant flow my thoughts properly even though i have good points. Please give me tips on how to flow my points properlyyy thank youu
Hope your oral exam went well. You can try using the PEEL structure to organise your thoughts and points for oral as well. You can watch our video on how to use PEEL for oral: th-cam.com/video/kiCc8_bLo4A/w-d-xo.html
There are some ways you can do this but they all take practice. One way is this: 1) Learn some strategies to organise your points 2) For a start, try writing it out like how you would speak 3) Apply the strategies you’ve learned and try writing out your response like how you would say it out again 4) Try to apply the strategies but now say it out instead of writing 5) Record yourself on platforms like vocaroo.com, play back and listen to yourself. Note down how you can improve and then try speaking + recording again The point is to work from learning to organise your thoughts using writing and then transitioning to speaking. Getting feedback from others (friends, family or teachers) is also important as you can hear a different point of view and get more suggestions for improvements. If you are interested, we are planning some last minute oral comm exam prep lessons for those taking the 1128 O level exams in Singapore. Will be happy to provide you with more details of the classes.
