    I like the seatbelt warning sound when you turn the key…flashbacks of childhood. Also the OBD 1 trouble codes accessible by turning the key twice and counting the flashes. This has helped me countless times.

      Yes- the buzzing seat belt at the start is quite annoying but part of the YJ.

    I have a newer JL, but definitely love the YJs. They’re just classic Jeep at it’s best!

      Thanks! Agreed. The OG Wrangler. I like all Wranglers, but really like the old ones.
      What kind of JL do you have?

    I recently bought a 1995 yj and I’m keeping it all original. It’s an automatic and honestly to me it’s not a big deal not being a manual I honestly enjoy it a lot more this way and one less thing to worry about when it comes to servicing the clutch. Take it from an 18 wheeler truck driver whose been driving manual for more than 25 years. And that yj of yours it’s beautiful. Congrats. 🎉

    Great video. I recently picked up a red 95 Jeep Wrangler YJ 2.5L 5 Speed S to learn stick shift. Also in process of restoring it to as close to factory as I can. I've been enjoying learning on it, as it's been both fun and very forgiving to a new manual driver. The 2.5 is noticeably slower out of the gate than the 4.0, but it gets the job done for me and is really all I need. I really like the silver wheels on your black Yj. The blacked out wheels are fine, but the silver completes the look nicely to me. Kudos!

      Cool. Thanks for the comment. Are you from MN too?
      I recently made a video about Plasti Dip Painting those wheels that are on my TJ now.

      @@hanshoeg Anytime! Always great meeting fellow Minnesotans. I am, yes. Originally from Central MN, now up in the northern lakes area. I'll give that video a look. I'm actually about to paint my Jeep wheels as well. (I have the Bright Silver Metallic steel wheels with the black center caps that came on the S model back in the day)

    I love the rugged ride and the metal body, when I close my doors I hear the metal on metal. I also like the fact that I can keep it forever, when something goes wrong, I just replace the part. I always look forward to your videos. Thanks for all the great videos!!!

      Thanks! The ride is definitely unique with the leaf springs. Nothing like a modern Jeep.

    What I wanted was a 4.0 TJ with a manual. The wife did NOT want me to get a manual. So we bargained, she got a yorkie puppy I got my manual TJ 😊

    I had a 94 YJ Sahara, my dream YJ, and sold it because I wanted manual. Manuals are just way better in old Jeeps

    • @hanshoeg
      @hanshoeg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed! I looked at a green 94 Sahara manual before I bought this one. Had a plow but too much rust (and my wife wouldn’t be able to drive it).

      The chrome ones came off a 2004 Jeep TJ. (I have painted them black)
      The black ones were in my 2001 Jeep TJ when I bought it.
