    MAN! I wish real fights were so textbook. Then all fights would look this slick and clean. Great production.

      Uniform Tango 74 unfortunately this is just a clean demonstration of the techniques, sure not all of them may be very practical but they still can be handy at times

      Let me tell you I know 3 months of Brazilian jiu jitsu and mma I can do those techniques in a street fight but as a beginner it won't look as slick and clean for me but I'm able to paralyze my opponents with the knowledge I know.

      When you are prepared enough you can do the " textbook " technic in a real situation, its called muscular memory i have training Since 5yold and now im almost 30 and Trust me in a real situation i can reduce a man and make it look like in the video. Dont want to argue just saying it can happen in real fights...

    • @khajiitkush5984
      @khajiitkush5984 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The purpose of techniques is to imprint it into your mind so when the situation arises your muscle memory kicks in and your able to successfully perform them. These people are trained so it doesn't look quite so sloppy but people who have a rough idea of what their doing will slip up a lot more often.

    I've seen many of these techniques in HEMA. A technique I saw in the second or third bout is also in Apache knife fighting. And a couple techniques look like they were drawn from Fiore Del Libre's dagger techniques.

      @sha zhan you have clearly never even taken a cursory glance at hema. Longsword is only a TINY part of HEMA and we do not "swing swords like a kid playing baseball" it is sophisticated and is way more than two morons "swinging" at each other. Look up some good longsword stuff. And aside from longsword, HEMA is everything from European martial arts. Pick up a book sometime on the subject, you might actually learn something

    • @Raiden4019
      @Raiden4019 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's very possible. Given what I understand of military-style knife demos, it's more likely to me that most of the knife techniques borrow a lot from the south-east asian martial arts of Kali and Silat. But considering that Kali/Escrima/Arnis also received a lot of influence and cross-fertilization from Spanish fencing technique during the colonial era, it wouldn't surprise me that a lot of similarities would found by someone with a HEMA/Historical Fencing background.

      No such thing as "for military or police only".
      Martial arts and combat skills are for everyone.
      They don't want civilians trained so they can conquer them easily.
      Remember tactics not weapons.

    • @uncle_martin1131
      @uncle_martin1131 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Joey Sparetti civilian fighting is different then military fighting due to it s nature.

      While true, military and police have civilian instructors.
      Civilians must make these skills second nature and teach their children.

    • @uncle_martin1131
      @uncle_martin1131 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joey Sparetti depends on the art...a MCS is tought by ex military guys. A civilian doesn t need to know how to restrain people beacause he can t do that. And even know how to kill other people is not what a person should know.

    • @joeysparetti7276
      @joeysparetti7276 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Martin Vikor
      Dumb fuck, and who are you to say what a man should and should not learn?
      Idiot.
      Civilians have every right to learn these skills and more.
      They don't have to trust us.
      We just can't ever trust them.
      Look how dumb you are: "never needs to learn how to restrain".
      How the hell would you know that?
      Killing is as natural as breathing.
      Again with the trust factor.
      The law and military don't want you to know how to kill just in case they have to kill you right?
      Either way you have a natural right to defend your life.
      Jujitsu, competition/tactical shooting, tactical driving, intelligence gathering and languages.
      Privacy measures as well.
      Fuck off.
      Either way guerilla warfare beats soldiers all the time.
      Element of surprise,
      hit and run tactics, snipering, improvised explosives and spys put up a hell of a fight.
      You were saying?

  • @michaelgtz4873
    @michaelgtz4873 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    That's Kali right there. In a more realistic confrontation the opponent would either fence from the distance or apply extreme pressure (usually depends on the confidence about own physical superiority). You would not be able to apply all of the techniques shown, without focused practice for decades.
    Wide and shiny moves aside, it is a great system for training the eye, mindset, angles and mechanics of an edged weapon fight, in both offense and defense.
    The problem with that is that the military idea of a knife fight training is having an expert showing it to you in a few sessions )) that's it, now you know knife fighting :-D well done. But for it to work under stress, it has to be carved into your DNA. And even then you'll remember just the basics.

    Very Creative Gentlemen. I liked it.
    This is a mixture of things its a little bit of Tai Jutsu, Hapkido and aikido mixed together Truth be told this is a good form of unarmed combat if you are traditionally taught. Basically these are a group of full blooded techniques in full use. To use them this way would not lead to success; There are restrictions. If you notice this is geared toward weaponized and small arms CQC, moving into had to hand. Everything is elongated not shortened. To use this in real world, Hapkido is best to hack this system and learn it.
    After that; then Combative truth must be applied, the law of attraction must be fully explained to execute it in real world. Many of you don't know real world Martial Combat is philosophical, you have to learn the philosophy behind combat. Or everything you try to learn about the way you want to apply it will be a waist.
    These are traditional Techniques, not modern but old and repeated again and again and again, and again and again until they are apart of you neurological response pattern. Even these Guys are moderate with the realism and that's being nice. They are simply showing you moves, objective complete!

    Entertaining kata against kata. But a good knife man never commits that close . Range speed and timing in knife fighting. Strike circle in front of you. Anything entering that circle gets slashed followed by a stab. In and out keeping the knife in front in constant motion. The best act in a knife fight is to keep your attacker at bay using the knife as you retreat and try to find an obstacle you put between you and the attacking knife. This is life and death and one mistake timing range or speed will get you killed.

    Looks good, but kills way too much time in a real fight. The techniques look spectacular enough to use them in this video, but they won't help you in a fight unless your opponent is either very drunk or stupid as hell. Sadly we can't expect true special forces to share their hand to hand combat secrets with us. Nevertheless a nice video, thumbs up.
    PS: for the ones who want to fight like them: what you see here looks pretty much like Escrima and Wing Tsun

    • @scaredrowtard5496
      @scaredrowtard5496 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, sure there are special forces secrets f.e. the techniques they use (i think we don't need to discuss that the techniques featured in this video have little to do with what they train). Their whole training is the secret.

    • @scaredrowtard5496
      @scaredrowtard5496 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know where you come from, but here in Germany we have a special forces unit called gsg9. Some months ago i was lucky to train with a former member of said unit during an extern Combatives class which this guy runs. Long story short, he told me that special forces work on spreading wrong rumors and shaping their public image to distract potential enemys who want to know more about the nature of their work. Therefore I wouldn't say that the stuff you find on the internet is accurate.

    • @scaredrowtard5496
      @scaredrowtard5496 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't know how they work on their image but normally there's no reason to join the special forces. Terrible salary, extremely hard physical work and a high chance to develop ptsd . Maybe the "cool guy image" just helps motivating people to participate at the recruiting tests. They just increase the probability of someone joining the special forces.
