Tried it and it was like the traditional kutsinta from street vendors that I grew up with. Sarap sobra especially if paired with homemade dulce de leche. Change the flavor from annato to ube and it was more delish for me 😉

My pleasure sharing Virginia! Lye water is available in any Asian or Filipino store abroad. If you can't find it, you can make your own lye water substitute. You only need two ingredients, baking soda and water. Mix 1 cup water and 1/4 cup baking soda.
