    Thank you so much for taking the time to first, make such detailed video. And second for answering my question. I see it does allow for these settings to be controlled. Although one may not change them often, is always nice to retain the OEM settings abilities. I like the fact that the OEM harness connects directly to the Head Unit and that no other Canbus is apparently needed.

      No problem. Always trying to help people out. That’s why I make videos like this so people can see what they are buying before paying for something.

    Great review and walkthrough! How is the sound quality when taking calls? Can you mirror your iPhone onto the screen? Have you experienced any issues so far with the unit?

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The sound quality when taking calls is okay, it would probably be better if I hooked up the external mic, but I’m just using the built in one on the head unit.
      And yes there is a app to mirror your phone screen.
      I have not had any problems with the unit since I installed it almost 6 months ago!

    Wow I was just watching your other video showing your mods that you have done to your Camry. I was considering your old model radio. I am glad that I waited. Sounds like it was giving you issues. How is the iDoing radio holding up for you?

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The idoing is a great radio so far! I have had it over 6 months and it works like brand new! And having wireless Apple CarPlay is amazing!
      The dasita was good for a little while, but always took a long time to boot up.
      The idoing is really fast and responsive!
      Also the idoing radio is much cheaper than the dasita radio. Only downside you have to order it from Ali express which takes about 2 weeks!

    Awesome so I followed your comment here. I have a few questions before I buy one out of all the viable options I’ve seen. How does this unit sound with loud or soft music? Pros n cons over the Daisata? Also does it offer split screen mode?

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The radio has better sound with both loud and soft music, no distortion at high volume either. And for comparing it to my dasita radio, which is over 4 years old. So keep this in mind. The newer ones might be better. But the idoing unit boots up within 5 seconds, vs the dasita which took about 30 seconds. The low end bass on the new unit is much nicer than the dasita. The screens on the idoing are QLED screens, vs the dasita has a standard HD screen. And my dasita did not offer a split screen mode, and idoing I have never tired. And I’m not sure about the new dasita radio, but the idoing comes with wireless CarPlay standard, so you will not need an extra dongle.

      Nice video! I installed the "Joying" version. It looks just like yours! I honestly believe they are all made by the same company in China! I also upgraded the factory speakers for some $60 50w JVCs. They sound great. I'm adding the JBL Basspro Hub in the spare compartment.
      Question for ya! Do you have any issues with the screen brightness at night? I have my daytime brightness at 10% and night brightness to 3. I find it still too bright at night! Especially with the music artwork from my music app. How to you find that?

    Nice video. Really cool radio. Few questions. Is your old radio that you started having problems with after a year the same brand radio as your new radio you installed in this video?
    Also can a Android phone such as a Samsung Galaxy play music from the phone wirelessly? Like using some car play or is that only meant for iphones?
    Lastly you mentioned you can download apps on the radio such as TH-cam. Couldn't I download Spotify on the radio and listen to music from that on the radio? That way I wouldn't need to connect my phone.

      The radio I installed in this video was a idoing, and the brand I was having problems with was a dasita.
      And they do offer android auto, but I believe it’s only wired, but I think they sell things to make it wireless, otherwise you would need to use Bluetooth.
      And yes you can download apps on the radio, but remember that in order to use those apps you need to be connected to the internet, so you would need to hook your radio up to a hotspot, which to me doesn’t seem to always connect everytime I get in the car. So I just use Apple CarPlay, and rely on my phone to get service.
      And there are plenty of radios out there, it’s just some cost way more then this one, and don’t give the same quality. I think this one is reasonably priced for what you get!

      The installation should be the same, as for the radio. Idoing does sell one for the 2012-2014 model. If you are interested I would contact them on Instagram and they should be able to help find the radio you need!
