I should have seen these before. Only when it happens to you, it's when you come here to validate what's already happened to you (or me). I got an airline ticket through MyTrip only to have the flight canceled by the airlline in which case I was entitled to a full refund as per the airline policy. However, MyTrip disregarded this policy and charged me instead penalties fee and reimbursed the differences months later. My recomendations is to ALWAYS buy an airline ticket directly from the airline but book hotels through agencies because you don't need to pay upfront and you have 24-48 hours to cancel the reservation.
My experience with Kayak and Google Flights. With both you end up with a list of links that show you which is the cheapest fare for the journey you are planning and of course from that list you pick the cheapest and try to book with them. I tried several times for 24 hours each time getting to the part where you put all your credit card details in and confirm the booking only to be told something had gone wrong and I should try again. Eventually chatted with a representative who told me that fare was no longer available but he could do it for over two hundred pounds more. So I tried another one on the list, this one took me all the way but said my booking wasn't confirmed. Some time later I received a call and was told that fare was no longer available but that for 800 pounds more they could book the ticket. I refused and was told to hold on and they came back with 200 pounds off each leg meaning that it was now only going to be 400 pounds higher than the price that Google Flights and Kayak had originally attracted me to that site. From my experience these people are pitching their fares deliberately low so that Kayak and Google show them as the best but when you try to book that fare is no longer available.
I tried the 2 one way thing for our latest flights and it wasn't cheaper. But what I did end up doing was 2 round trips a day apart. That's saved us a thousand bucks. Check all sorts of ways to book your flights.

@@kzulia13 nope, I bought round trip tickets from home airport to our layover airport and another set of round trip tickets from our layover to our destination. We flew frontier and we would have had a day layover in Denver anyway. The only part that was extra, we went through airport security 4 times with first time flying kids. Uffdah. .
Headed to Macedonia in 2 weeks for 2 weeks, then Montreal and Quebec City at the end of March. Then back to Macedonia and then Armenia, Georgia this summer. Who knows? With using Google flights and Momondo I might be going to other places if the price is right. Thanks so much!
If you travel the world, for me Priceline number one then everybody else, happens that sometimes the cheapest flight is more expensive, we need to pay atention on the add on, baggage, seat, even a hand bag, plus the airline service, also conection flights are at different airports, other time is much better with to book directly with the airline.
Love watching these videos although will probably not fly anywhere in the next few weeks but these tips will definitely be useful if I ever do this year great video as always Megan
Again Megan you have hit a home run. This is a great video, so well put together. Your editing skills just keep getting better and I bet you did not even use Chat GPT😂. Love how short this is and so full of content that the very firth thing you do after watching it is to go right back to the beginning and do it all over again. My problem is you keep talking about how much travel you do and yet you never shoot any footage of yourself outside with a beautiful background. Can’t wait to see the pyramids behind you for example. Thank you so much for your inspiration on more travel. The world needs more great and kind people like you. 🎉❤
I just found your channel and it’s awesome! I love that you announce what your next video would be, or a very important related video, but just a friendly suggestion to provide a link to them to be able to find them easier. Took me a few steps to find the other videos you referred to. Please keep up the great work, I already learned so much from 3 of your awesome videos 😊👍
Megan. You are the best at finding great websites that are helpful when traveling. Finding good prices on flights are tough but make it much easier. 4:37
Good evening Megan 🙋🏻♂️ I recently subscribed to your channel and you have a lot of good advice. I want to buy tickets to Japan and I am looking at April of this new year 2023. What advice do you have for me it buying good round trip tickets for a first time international flyer like myself. As you mentioned before,is it better to do it through the airline itself?
Hoping to FINALLY use up the tour vouchers from 2020. And we're hoping for a Spain and Portugal tour. I have loyalty points with a few different airlines and looking at using those up too.
This video has been very helpful with helping me find cheap airfares. I was getting discouraged and thinking that I would have to book a flight so far out into the future, even if I have to book four or five months out, that’s reasonable for me. I really liked google flights. I plan to go to Thailand in a few months. Thank you for this video.
Hello, I hope you will have a great trip. Could you give me the best and cost-effective, customer friendly airlines since this is my first flight to abroad, Thailand.❤
Hey there! Loving the video! 🙌 These flight deal websites are legit game-changers for wanderlust adventurers like us! 🌍✈ Thanks a ton for sharing the scoop on the best deals of 2023. Time to jet-set on a budget! 💸💫
Thank you for another great video ! Some of these look really interesting. I was wondering if there are any specific tips for doing the same trip repeatedly? I'm going to have travel to London (from a regional french city) for work ever week for a few weeks. I was wondering if there are any websites/tools/etc. that are good for this situation ?
If I want to upgrade to business class on a flight should I search for business class fares specifically, or search for economy class fares across all the options before upgrading to business class? IOW, is the diff between econ and bus class pretty standard across airlines? What's the best way?
I have a question about hopper. It is said that the prices will drop over the next month, but I am afraid that by then, the tickets will be sold out. Is it better to buy it now? Or wait and hope that there will be available tickets for sale at a lower price.
Hello there, thanks for the tips. I am planning a trip to Paris & Italy this year. I was thinking one way ticket from LA to Paris and One way from Italy to LA or viceversa. To the best of your knowledge what airline would you advise to book with?
Hi guys, hi Megan, just wondering if anyone of you has ever used priceline to book for a flight? If so, how was your experience. Please let know! Thanks.

Why an average person need to pay extra for few kg lugage but 130 kg people dont pay any extra for double wheight of average? I know the airplane use more fuel if it's more weight and i respect overweight people as i respect anybody no matter their shape, color, etc.
What is considered average is highly dependent on race, gender and height and there are people who are naturally very thin so it probably all evens out in the long run 🤷♀️ I think it’s more to do with the space available and how much airlines can nickel and dime us all.
