Speaking of finding art: my step-grandfather was a watercolor artist in Wisconsin. He passed away over ten years ago. This past weekend my sibling and I were at an antique shop near Chicago and found two of his pieces! We bought them both and we're thrilled to have them!

I still think the front room with the stairs would make an amazing dining room! Put your desk in the room between the kitchen and living room. Then put the chair in the area your desk is now for a reading nook

aww I just gotta say, every time my peripheral vision catches kinsley going out of frame, I've caught myself, thinking, my pup is here under me. I miss him so much. It's been over a year now, but when you have a dog for 17 years, 1 year is not very long and you feel like they are still here
he is with you and will be forever!!! lost my 17 yr old male cat 2 yrs ago.....miss him terribly but I talk to him often
I'm in the same situation as you ❤ had my precious dog for 14 years until last summer 😢 it's heartbreaking to have to live without him 💔 Kinsley reminds me of him, the devotion and always being there by your side 😌

My furangel was almost 17 when I lost her three years ago (just before Covid and a 6 month lockdown in Melbourne). You are so right about the time passing not being long when you have had a dog for 17 years. I am now totally on my own and I miss her so much, especially the welcome home she gave me. I love how Kinsley is so curious about everything. My heart flipped when her little head popped up from the back of the box. Take care, from Down Under 😘🐶🇦🇺.

I’m so excited for you to see the house in summer, it will Eva different feel. The landscape will be on display, then you can see what good plants are there to keep or add to as you need. I’m not sure how into gardening you are but that’s a whole other side to design. It’s so much fun.

I like the chair! Its big, and you need some big pieces, I think. It's so weird going from an apartment to a house and seeing how furniture works different! Your home is lovely and I'm SO enjoying the mini transformations.

I think it would look so pretty for you to have a dining room set up in your front room with the fireplace. Then you could use the smaller back room with all the windows as your office space with nice light near all the action. Can't wait to see all your ideas come to life. Love your content 🙂. I don't think she needs a dedicated office space to work since most of her work is all over the house. She just needs a desk to edit which is nicely set up in the living room and fills up the space really well. Other than that she needs storage for her DIY supplies which wouldn't look good in that small room. I think she can turn it into a breakfast nook though.
Do a pegboard for that hanging area in Romeo’s closet for your crafts/ tools along with slim bars/rods for tape/ ribbon spools 🧵 etc.
That big empty room would make an amazing dining room. Think of the epic dinner parties you could have in there…instead of forcing a dining table in that skinny room off the kitchen!

My mom used to call her mom, Honey 😊
My grandma in Texas is also "Honey." Her kids always called her that instead of "Mom" because they heard my granddad ("Dada") say it and thought it was her name, haha. I was the firstborn grandchild, so I kept up the tradition. 💛🍯🧸
I'm from northeast and my son's dad is from Texas and his mom) asked to be called (honey) but in the northeast it seems more grandma's are called nana or since my son was born in 2006 mimi has been popular 💌 he's now 17 and im thinking im wana be called (sweetie) lol short for sweetie pie, either will do for me🤣 lol🥧
@@ubetchaslots Yes!! I'm from the Northeast originally and we were supposed to call my Mom's mom, Nana, but my brother called her Nena and it stuck. So she was forever Nena. 😊😍

I used to work at World Market, and it was SO FUN! I worked in the clothing, jewelry, and bath sections. We always got to try the different snacks from around the world too!
I would order another one, and a coffee table and put in the front room, rug and artwork you're done!

I might make the space where your desk currently is a dining area and the office where the dining room currently is. I also might make a small eating area at the far end of the kitchen. So many possibilities. I like the texture and the colors in your new chair. I have two matching chairs in my living room that swivel, the grandkids love that! Lol!
Although the swivel chairs sounds good on paper, given the distance to the tv set, watching the tv from that close would be very uncomfortable! There would be a lot of neck craning involved.

Macenna! Have you thought about a fabric bench for the guest bedroom, for in front of the built-ins? Like a poofy bench for seating, or laying out clothing etc
When you have time in LA again you should go thrifting some furniture pieces. Do you have one of those Habitat thrift stores that sell ex- designer lines , paint, donated furniture etc? They have some fantastic things
