That SC300 is SAVAGE; it sounds exactly how I prefer my 2JZGTEs to sound when converted to single turbo. It’s the CxRacing exhaust manifold that must generate that sound! Definitely on the list for my next iteration build on my 2JZGTE Mk3 Supra.
I am a BMW fan since I remember, I love the classical high revving M engines without Turbo, but the 2JZ is really a class of its own, extremely powerful and has still possibilities to rise up and touch or even exceed the 1000 HP.... nice pulls from both!!
I agree, the JZ family deserves its praise and one of the most legendary engines produced from the 90’s, the BMW S54 though, it frickin’ moves especially in its N/A form, I just don’t like the extreme natural raspyness of it, think an exhaust or headers change could tone it down ? I think that rasp comes from the engine component itself
Stop arguments over these two modified cars because they have nothing to do with either S54 or 2JZ. It is enough to say that a stock N/A S54 can beat a stock Twin Turbo 2JZ and that tells everything! NA > Turbo!
I love the S54 for what it is but I genuinely don’t think they sounds very good lol maybe it’s just the particular exhaust but they always sounds hollow like a tin can. 2Js always sound smooth and beefy despite being slight smaller displacement for some reason
It doesn't weigh 4000lbs. They never weighed that from the factory. Not to mention the minor weight reduction that comes with any race car. How can you know this much about cars, AND STILL THINK THE STICKER IN THE DOOR TELLS YOU CURB WEIGHT!? 5 series weigh 3700+lbs. 7 series weigj 4100+lbs. This SC was never that luxurious.

NO the bmw was NOT more luxurious then a rebadged low end Japanese sports car 🤣🤣 (soarers are barely more luxurious then the ZX cars) Plus ride height is the only thing hold back the 4 wheel wish bone set up- otherwise its far superior to any 1991 bmw offering. Suspension and chassis was good enough to spawn the Aristo GS and And Supra. Lets not get started on Vanos
Bro that bmw Just had a sc slapped on it. It didn’t even put down power right. You can hella tell by the way the car accelerates. It’s super clapped, shouldnt be that big of a difference for about 100hp difference especially if one car has a higher red line

But the guy announcing both cars is @Danielshmov on instagram, he owned both cars but sold the SC300 a few weeks after this vid I think, he was also the one driving it in this video. He sold off the E46 just a month ago. I wish we could have seen more of the SC though.
