She should be more famous than Celine. After all, she has got more talent. But she is recognised for her talent in Europe. Even the very first time Princess Stephanie of Monaco heard Tina sing live, she proclaimed to the audience that they had just witnessed the birth of a diva.

Yeah they all just sat there like stun mullets us Aussie couldn’t believe it.. Tina killed it the only one that got into it was Celine and they got to know one another & sing together a few years later.. Tina has had a huge career since she was 6 years old and she is huge in France lived there for a few years and has had huge success in theatre musicals in Australia, France & England. Marc Anthony & Tina did the song for the Zorro movie, (I want to spend my life time loving you) which you should check out, she also sung The Flame at the opening of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney another one you should check out, her CV is a long and lustrous one. At the age of 7, Tina appeared on the Australian TV show Young Talent Time; after leaving the show at 16, she was signed to a recording contract and released her first solo single two years later. She eventually moved to France to further her career, as she grew up listening to Spanish, Italian and French songs. She is an accomplished singer-songwriter, with international credentials as a world class singer.

Find Vanessa Amorosi singing "Natural Woman" live, with Dave Stewart on guitar, it will knock your eardrums out. Astonishing. Simply astonishing. She is a few years younger than Tina, same town, Melbourne in Australia. For a much younger Melbourne girl who is currently taking the world by storm, Tash Sultana, "Jungle" the live bedroom recording. For a heartfelt 12 string guitar performance, Tash Sultana playing "Blackbird" at genius level, the 7 Layer Sessions. To hear the greatest guitar player on Earth, also from Melbourne, Tommy Emmanuel playing Classical Gas, then "Initiation" And we haven't begun yet...
For a PARTY, Cold Chisel, live, Bow River, 28th December 2006 version, John Farnham live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "You're the Voice", then, "Help!" Make sure you're holding on.
You want Soul? You want to hear Otis Redding/Sam Cooke reborn? Teskey Brothers from Melbourne, "Hold Me", live at the Forum, then "Rain", the Colours session.
Man, they play blues/soul to heal you.

Americans are hard to please. This girl just sang her heart out, and the audience just sat there stale and bored looking. Well done, Tina Arena, and shame on this American audience for being so up themselves.

Tina is truly great but I do prefer the studio versions and a kicking subwoofer.

Even though Tina is a natural beauty, simply gorgeous. But she never resorted to baring her flesh to sell herself. Too classy for that. Much too classy.

Tina Arena grew up on Aussie TV. This was from 1978.

@@SimplyKSimone It was her biggest hit but there are more. Whether or not the US media plays her music is not a valid measure. They didn’t play John Farnham either, yet Aretha Franklin rated him as having the best perfect pitch of any male singer in the world. My other favourite of Tina’s is the original version of Sorrento Moon, another of her compositions. It has a cool Latin vibe. (She composed Chains too.)
