Great Tutorial! Perfect explanation- just what I needed! Do you know if you an add an additional audio channel in a project you are in the middle of it? It’s a sports highlight vid so a lot of work was done. I can’t find how to do it. I learned how to add in settings but I would have to create a new project it seems. Err. Thanks again!
I'm not sure if I understand the question exactly. But if you want to add an Audio Track, right click on A1 or A2 on the Timeline and "Insert Track". It will ask if you want to insert an Audio or Video Track.
@@victorianodejesus perfect. For some reason that wasn’t very intuitive for me. Lately KDenLive is crashing every few minutes. Have you experienced that as well? It’s very frustrating. I try to remember to save my work after every milestone but if I don’t then it’s gone. Errr :)
Hi there, I can't seem to find any tutorials on kden's audio output or project settings. I'm importing clips recorded at 320kbps but Kden's export dialog only allows 256 max, and when youtube compresses it, the sound is even worse. Is kdenlive even capable of high quality 320kbps audio?
I don't even have any sound or clip added, but the crap crackles like crazy when I press play or change the nub around so annoying, anyone know how to fix ?
@victorianodejesus My videos are muted within Kdenlive (they run with volume on Celluloid media player). I have reinstalled Kdenlive but this has not helped. Any advice?
You can try Resetting the Configuration. Go to Help > Reset Configuration. Note that this will reset your Kdenlive installation back to the default, so any custom settings you will have will be gone. Another thing you can check is to see if your Audio Tracks have been muted.
Sorry but how are your audio waveforms so crisp and sharp and pointed? Mine are huge pixelated blocks of mess that I can't determine peak parts of music or voice sounds.
If you have removed all the audio then it should just be total silence, so I am not sure what is happening for you. Step 1 In the Clip Monitor, right-click on the video file and Extract Audio (Wav 48000Hz). This will give you a separate audio file. Step 2 Add the video file into your Timeline. Ungroup the Video and Audio Track. Delete the Audio Track. Step 3 Add the Extracted Audio from Step 1 into your Timeline. Align to your Video File and group them together. It should help with the audio popping. This is a known bug and I wouldn't be surprised if this method doesn't work for you. Other methods you can try: 1. Create Proxies for your video files 2. Fade Out Method th-cam.com/video/_MbpYEZQWxg/w-d-xo.html
@@victorianodejesus thank you very much I really appreciate it I actually figured it out apparently my default sound settings weren't set to Realtek and it was causing problems
@@victorianodejesus thank you for responding btw, I'm actually having a bigger problem now and one I can't figure out and has made me restart my project multiple times. When I try to add any kind of clip to the bin after the initial clips I put into the bin at the start of my project, they will lock the bin and I can no longer move any clips old or new to the timeline including text clips I make in Kdenlive. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
@@victorianodejesus I'm trying/tried a couple of things. I think the problem is the install is corrupted or the applications in it are running against other applications in other programs I have on my computer. I like to use a lot of open source stuff I think something might be causing a conflict
All I wanted was info on normalize, and youve made this video an likely also made the forum comments where you suggest audacity instead of kdenlive.... Jeez
Again noob tutorial! Fade = click, mute = click, volume =click, click+, etc. When say was about not simple filter (gain, normalize, etc) - then NO INFO (i dont use, i dont know, i dont need it or simple missed this). Where TUTORIAL HERE? What about your talk all of this time? How I can make left-mouse click? PS Say me for example how you make adjust volume between different audio-clips? If one clip hase lower volume and if we put all clips sequence to one audio-track then will have "volume jump" between it? This will TUTORIAL! But not your mouse drag-and-drop/clicks show.
"Gain" alone helped me improve the sound of a talk recorded on my phone with no mic! Thank you.
Good lesson. Carry on.
Thanks so much for your video tutorials, they are super helpful as I'm learning Kdenlive

I am not exactly sure why the waveforms are different. I haven't done anything special with the audio.
👍👍👍👍👍
I'm getting audio popping just using this program. I removed all audio and still nonstop popping and cracking, I have no idea why

@@patrickhouchins9074 maybe Save As a different project, then add the other clips and see if that helps.
