This drama showed Niao Niao ignorance of what a monarchy is.That the rules of the dynasty is different from family rules. The ruling family cannot use emotions and family rules over the royal court rules. General Ling's added problem is Niao Niao's ignorance of these rules which make every situation complicated. If General Ling was not intelligent and smart to anticipate the consequences, then she may be implicated.Its also good that the Emperor loved General Ling so much and trusted him that much aside from je is benevolent.
