Thank you very much for another great reaction to my favorite singer! 💖There are exactly 3 years between Amira's performance with André Rieu in the Netherlands and this one in Pretoria/South Africa when Amira was 13 years old. Half a year later, in January 2018, she emigrated from the Netherlands to South Africa where her mother comes from. One year ago she graduated from high school as the best of her school and then took 2023 as a gap year where she performed in the Netherlands (where she visits her father regularly), Norway, Belgium, Namibia and all over South Africa. In the past three weeks she visited the USA and had performances in Florida, Georgia and California. Last Saturday she performed at the Christmas Concert at the Spreckels Organ (the largest open-air musical instrument in the world) in San Diego. Now she should be on her way back home because on 26th and 27th December she is going to perform at "The Queen & Christmas Show" in Johannesburg/South Africa. I just hope that the jet lag (10 hours of time difference between CA and SA) will not affect her too badly! From next year she is going to study music (BMus) at the University of Pretoria and promised her fans not to stop performing on a regular basis. Greetings and love from Germany, Sabine 💖
Sabine - thank you for the Amira update. Do you know if "The Queen & Christmas Show" will be available online? Also, the last i heard was that she had not yet decided on which university to attend; is Pretoria a definite? And do you know where her boyfriend DJ is going to college? Sorry Liz, thank you for the great reaction! 2 of her recent performances are: Amen & The Prayer available on YT. Merry Christmas to you and all Amira's fans worldwide!
i would imagine that amira was devastated to hear about the death of 25yo slovakian soprano, patricia janeckova, who died from breast cancer just over 3 months ago on october 1st, a few weeks after getting married!! although fans of both ladies tried to make it a rivalry between them, they were going in different musical directions! also, amira was a great admirer of patricia, as can be seen in some videos on you tube!!!
NOW THAT SHE IS DEAD & NO LONGER A RIVAL TO AMIRA, MAY I RECOMMEND THAT YOU LISTEN TO PATRICIA JANECKOVA, WHO DIED FROM BREAST CANCER, AGED 25 ON OCT 1ST! AMIRA WAS A BIG FAN OF PATRICIA WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER! TAKE A LISTEN TO HER SINGING 'ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST' AGED 12!! ALL THE BEST!@@cmlarose50
Outstanding reaction! Here in this video, Amira, at just 13 years old, effortlessly and melodically projects a long, beautiful D6 followed by a flat E6. These notes are above C6, which is the top for normal sopranos. Amira has videos with over a million views for every year of her life since the age of 9. I suggest reacting to her recent video from 2023 titled "Amira Willighagen & Ndlovu Youth Choir - Amen (Official Music Video)".
Amira is more beautiful than you know. Since winning Holland's got talent as a child, she has worked tirelessly to help the poor and underprivileged. She accepts that her talent is a gift from God, and believes she should repay the favour of having it by spreading her music and love widely. She sings quite a lot of religious songs, as well as opera and theatre music. Recommendations include Ave Maria Gomez - 2015. 11 years old. O sole mio. Duet with Patrizio Buanne when 12. The Flower duet with Corlea Botha, when 13. Gabriella's song at 14. La vergine degli angeli at 16 Gesu Bambino, and Amen. Both from 2023 aged 18 and 19 There are many others, but that'll do for starter's. Enjoy your discoveries and we'll enjoy listening to them.
THIS IS ONLY POSSIBLE IF GIFTED WITH ANGELIC TALENT - NOTHING ELSE EXPLAINS A PERFORMANCE LIKE THIS BY A GIRL WHO IS ONLY 13yrs OLD !!!!! THANKS LIZI - PLEASE DO MORE REACTIONS OF OUR ANGEL AMIRA !!!!!!!
"Classics is groot". 'Groot' is Dutch and translates as "Great'. What an amazing voice and on pitch. What is there to be said...... She's developed even further after this song. the sky is her limit, if there is a limit.
Thank you so much Liz, it was a shock and yet a delight to hear you say how we can experience so much ceative love and warmth outside of the MSM by dicovering alternative media. Amira is not a commercial product marketed by the music industry and her popularity is from the ordinary people who appreciate the important things in life as you say in your introduction. It is said that the best teacher is a good example. Amira is inspiring, I think she showed there is more to life than the money people are selling. She is giving to the World along with her friend Alma Deutscher who says she too wants to make the World more beautiful with beautiful music. Much love from the UK.
Amira was born for the stage. My recommendation would be, if you want to understand what fascinates so many about Amira, start at the beginning. Look at how she started. Her audition for "Holland's Got Talent" at the age of 9. Where she left the jury open-mouthed. And then watch the semi-final and the final. She won the competition. Incidentally, she had no training until then, she taught herself to sing by copying what she heard in TH-cam videos.
I would suggest a song she co-wrote “in the stars” it was a tribute to her grandmother who encouraged her singing. She told Amira that one day she would be on TV. She passed away after Amira’s first performance on HGT. She got to see her granddaughter on tv.
I thought there was no such word as "perfect" in this world until I heard Amira's Amazing Grace Amira singing this song is "perfect" No words needed Yes 10 of 10
Another great reaction Liz, & I have subscribed to your Chanel. You asked for something current & also were wanting to know what type of person Amira is. Firstly, when a nine y.o forms a charitable foundation to supply playground equipment to underprivileged schools in South Africa & to date has supplied some 19 schools over the last 10 years, I think that answers that part of your question. Secondly, I’ve listed below a few more recent performances together with her age for your benefit. …. …. Sound of Music medley at the age of 16 …. … When You Wish Upon a Star at age 17 …. … The Prayer at age 19. Note that this is audio only but a magnificent rendition. BUT…… You must react to her performing “Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church “ at age 11. This should be mandatory for all Reactors. Cheers Graeme
Amira is not real Amira is a special angel of God Amira is absolutely wonderful fantastic incomparable Amira is the best of the best the most wonderful and perfect voice in de world she is unique a princess of the heavens thank my God for Amira❤❤❤❤
This hymn was composed by John Newton (born in London, 1725). A former slave ship captain who became a Christian, this was his testimony to the forgiveness he found in Christ. Amira would say that this is her testimony also. See also, "I'll Walk With God," sung with Lukhanyo Moyake, the South African opera singer.
Liz, I was very moved in both your Amira reactions. I have so much to say about Amira. Liz, first suggestion, please try to see her powerful clear soprano voice in singing year progressions. First, age 11, a duet singing, “Ave María”. Others include, Max Proms Concert, singing “O Mio Babbino Caro and Your Love”, at age 14. She has done many concerts with Classic medley songs such “The Sound of Music”; an unbelievable rendition of Frank Sinatra’s, “My Way”, etc. Last Wed night I usually listen every evening to Amira reaction videos when that night, I read one comment which stated Amirs was coming to Ca Friday night of that week perform live concert at Congregational Church of Los Angeles. I was totally so hocked! Right to the point. Her concert was such a blessing to hear her beautiful live voice. After her performance, I was in the front pew and was greeted by her. While holding her hand, I said, “Amira, you are the shining light because you have impacted positively so many people around the world. I am one because when my lovely passé away 8 years ago. I had 2 years of clinical depression. I have recovered for last 6 years because I started listening to your music. I am very grateful what a beautiful impact you made in my recovery”. Liz, looking forward to your journey with Amira. God Bless You and Your Subscribers!
Thank you, Liz, a heart felt reaction. Every song by Amira I can listen to again and again. Looked like you noticed something as she sang the end of the thtd verse: maybe you also noticed she switched a key word, to include everyone in her song of praise: "And grace will lead us home." She repeated that line, indeed, with the original wording: totally inspirational. She moved to South Africa 6 years ago, to her mother's home town, and she's been gracing this country with her voice ever since. It's also my country of birth, for she and I are what you would call Afrikaners, i.e. Afrikaans is our other language, as white people; other ethnic groups here speak Afrikaans, too. This concert has an Afrikaans name, since the audience is invariably Afrikaners, and it's an annual concert: "Afrikaans is great" is the translation, and the concerts celebrate locally written, Afrikaans songs, too, and many Afrikaner singers, now including Amira. The concert organizers gave Amira her next recording deal after she left Holland. Her attention to those who need a little help is now famous, with the play grounds and now also with the netball teams; netball is that girls' sport played in countries of the British Commonwealth: its world cup was played in Cape Town a few months ago.
If you like Amira, check out her friend her age, Alma Deutscher. They sing a duet together from Alma’s opera, CINDERELLA. Alma sold out Carnegie Hall with a concert of her works, composer, pianist, violinist, and currently, conductress. Currently, her third show, half opera, half musical, with a bit of purposely lousy modern music sold out in Salzburg. I hope it plays in San Jose, California, like two sold out versions of her CINDERELLA, conducting the second one.
AMERIA JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL ABD PLANS TO FURTHER HER MUSIC EDUCATION IN SOUTH AFRICA WHERE SHE STARTED A PROGRAM TO GIVE CHILDREN PLAYGROUNDS THAT THEY NEVER HAD
They used this Song in Memphis Belle and yet would you know that I know a cabbie in Beaulieu Sur Mer France who says at the end of the War B-17s dropped undropped bombs from at least one mission over Germany right on HOLLAND. He's bitter about it to this day being born and raised in Holland.
We now have a younger and better fifteen year old teenage singer in the Netherlands, with a natural voice and sings like Edith Piaf, named Emma Kok!👌👏👍

just 13 here, not grown up yet. Keep following Amira, she will change your life. Watch every performance. Don't miss any of them. all special.
She has always had a beautiful voice, including here at 13
