This Old Abandoned River is still loaded with Gold!!

  • Visiting this old historic gold mining location, I set out on a gold sniping adventure to see if this abandoned river in New South Wales still holds any gold. It’s been mined now for hundreds of years but has it been sniped for gold? Jumping under the waterline I get to work to see if I can recover some gold for myself. I love the challenge of finding gold where others have been and this challenge ends up a good one.

Why Parks and Recreation would not want to see your country explored and shared with the world in a way that brings awareness is a mystery.

    Punch on Levi, 178 thousand subscribers can't be wrong, your approach to your craft is with high regard for the environment, in all your videos I have watched (and that's all of them!) I have never seen something I felt was out of step with preserving our wilderness, or environmentally unfriendly, unlike the developed National Park sites in Tasmania, the asphalted car park of Freycinet, the Disney land circus they have made of the Picton river for the Tahune Airwalk, the High dollar exclusive Cradle Mountain Lodge, the fees associated with entering a park that they can always seem to justify with cost of road works blah blah. You are a success Levi, don't doubt it, it's about much more than gold, it's the journey.

  • @JayInOz1
    @JayInOz1 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Good luck with the National Parks mob Levi- we had several dealings with them in the past that left a bad taste in the mouth. We had one historical gold related site on the lease hold section of our farm that the parks reckoned needed protection, so they put fence posts around it and over the winter brought lots of people in to view it, following a wet gully until it was totally washed out and impassable even in our land cruisers. We had run ins with them over feral animals coming in from the parks, including wild digs killing our sheep, noxious weeds, hazard reduction burns and other stuff. They seemed to have an eighteenth century British mentality, and it's hard to be polite when being lectured about country we'd lived in for generations, by people from Sydney who had done a course:) We had a good laugh recently though when they graded a lovely road through the back of my sisters place and put up signs and a lock on the gate. My sister politely informed them that the national park boundary was three kilometres back- but the new road is lovely:) Jay

    Hi Levi… so sad to hear what’s going on with your situation in Tasmania. I really hope you can use your comment section to help plead your case to why you should be able to prospect in the rivers of Tasmania.
    I’m from the USA and I’ve followed you for about 3-4 years now. I work in TV and film so I have a critical eye when it comes to content creators. Your videos are entertaining, filmic and very well thought out and shot. Your story telling and editing is comprehensive and well executed.

    Great to see another successful video. We in New Zealand have also had more than usual rainfall, although the Winter hasn't been that cold except the recent morning frosts.

    They don't want anyone in the country, they want everyone in smart cities. Just don't show the place and edit it to make it look like where it's legal. 👍💚💛❤️

    Another great video Levi! So glad that you’re back! Seems unfair though those rules in Tassie, when you got a good thing going there are always people who are trying to ruin it…sad really. It sure isn’t fair. I really hope you can get it sorted! You are still my favourite prospector on TH-cam!!!😊
    Take care Levi⛏️⛏️

      Hi Levi, so sorry to hear of the Hick up you and Rob are having.
      I Abserloutely enjoy watching your videos as I can no make my way through such wonder Tasmanian bush and I can asmost imagine the arouma of the vegetation as you make your way through it.
      Each of your vidios areike nature and history lessons in themselves and not forgetting the historic ones both you and Rob produced were excellent and full of history that most Tasmanians are unaware of.
      Love the work both of you do.
      All the best.

    You and Rob are in our thoughts. You are an ambassador for Tasmania. Showcasing some amazing scenery. I have a dark side to my family in Tasmania. But following you and watching your videos. Have found the courage to visit next month from SA.

    Morning Levi Where I live on the far south Coast of NSW is a fantastic place to live and prospect. It would be a great place for you and your family to live. I can't prospect in National Park here but there is Forestry Land everywhere which is great.
