Yeah I followed this method of removing the transmission mount, unfortunately one of the 4 larger 17mm bolts into the transmission housing had been over tightened (at the factory I assume as this had not been touched for 12 years) and the thread was stripped on the bolt and the aluminum housing....a bit of a disaster as I could not tap a new thread into the housing. I reassembled the new mount but only managed to torque up 3 bolts, the fourth just sat there in the stripped housing. After replacing the other 2 mounts, the car was transformed back into to a smooth vibration free idle. I don't know what to do about the stripped thread, maybe do an insert at a later date.?
Very much similar to the 2013 MD Elantra 6spd A. My car is clunking going over speed bumps and pot holes that I can’t avoid. New tie rods, ball joints good, new front struts. End links solid. Axles good as well. I’m gonna pull the cover off, Elantra has one as as well. And check the mount. You think this is my issue? And if I were to remove my battery, and ECM would there be any issues when I go to start her after? Thank you! Any help is appreciated! You guys know Hyundais pretty well!
How do i know it's bad. The auto transmission on my 04 xg350 Hyundai appears to shifting okay but I hear a loud thump every once in a while from the engine area. I am thinking maybe the engine shifted the it poops back into place causing the loud thump.
U guys are the absolute BEST!! Ur content is amazing!!

Hi mate i have the same issue
All that you mentioned are good, but i am also think it might be gearbox mount, please did u found the issue?
Thanks
do I have to use 4 jacks or can I just use the front 2?
Do you have to disconnect computer to get mount out
Do you have to reset the ecu after you connect it back???
Do you have mount set for Hyundai Tucson 2012 model?
If you have, kindly send me the link so I can buy thank you and God bless.

I have found that most available transmission mounts are not made correctly and do not line up with the bolt holes.
What are torque specs for the motor mount bolts?
all around 88nm
Seems like it would be way easier to just take the battery out instead of working around it
Why didn't he move the battery
