On a tutorial for a similar bag, the stabilizer behind the zipper was trimmed in the hoop before adding the various fabrics. So much easier. Also, all that batting makes the bag bulky. I’ve used a lightweight interfacing which gives these bags stability without the bulk.

I made the bag for the 5x7 hoop with horizontal quilting today. It may be nit picky but I don't like that the stitching on the front is a smaller stitch length than the back.
The printed directions label step #14 as #13, which led to a momentary panic!

The fabric on back (inside lining)...is it right side up or facing bottom?

  • @divabarrie08

How do you add an image or word to the bag. With out getting out of the bag program and mess up the pattern.

  • @SipLeila

I had trouble with this pattern. It sewed the bottom section shut two times and did not leave the space open at all. I wonder if I was sent the wrong pattern? I will try downloading again.

Do you have an ITH bag design that is longer than it is wide? I am looking for a tall bag that would hold a 5X7 autograph book for Disney.

At 6:55 DO NOT remove project from hoop!!! You may need to remove hoop from machine to cut around design more easily, then load hoop back on the machine :)

@@designsbyjuju This is a very good video...however, several times she stated remove it from the hoop to trim, etc. For someone new to in the hoop embroidery this is very confusing. Stating "remove the hoop from the machine " is less confusing. Thank you for these videos! They are a huge help!!
