Donkey Kong 64 is similar to Rareware's other Nintendo 64 platformer series, Banjo-Kazooie ( tasvideos.org/GameGroups/Banj... ), but stars Donkey Kong and his friends from the Donkey Kong Country games. Several new features have been added to the game, like 3D graphics and the ability to change between different characters with different weapons and abilities.
The "no levels early" category restricts the player from utilizing glitches to enter levels or lobbies (level hubs) earlier than intended, but does not restrict the player from using glitches everywhere else. Thus this category allows for a highly-glitched run where most of the game is still played rather than skipped.
theballaam96 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/t... ) breaks nearly every facet of this game in the name of speed. Level geometry is casually ignored, a mockery is made of physics, and even the main menu is abused to achieve invincibility. The author's submission notes ( tasvideos.org/7165S ) are very detailed and outline the many exploits used to blaze through this category in record time.

i also have the sounds of donkey kong grunting as he long jumps in my fever dreams
5 minutes of the DK rap followed by hours of heavy grunting, just like in my bedroom

@@asra-5180 Agreed, GlideN64 is a dream come true. Some of my childhood classics like Beetle Adventure Racing now look like they did back on the N64 without any graphical issues.

Did you..really use the menu glitch to insert the dk rap in just for the memes?
I mean, it's mainly used to acquire all the moves in the game for free. But the DK Rap is an added bonus.

You know what I've never understood about that friendly Crock your a giant your telling be you couldn't single handedly break out of the cage.
I mean, it's even worse for the kongs. You spend all this time freeing them from cages, only for them to teleport out...

How do I beat Beaver Bother.
The trick is to make the Beavers hit the hole at a shallow angle, but not too shallow or they'll just walk around it. Also, don't spam the snap; snap once every few seconds to maneuver them into position. If one gets caught on the edge, leave it alone for now and find another. Also, the two in Creepy Castle are harder not only because you need to score more but I swear they move much faster and will sometimes outrun you.
Definitely one of the most broken mini games ever imo. The game as a whole is not well designed.

Quero ver um tas sem glitchs.
A glitchless TAS for this game would not be exciting. There are a few glitchless tricks that are TAS only, but not enough to make it anywhere near worth it.
@@Ballaam one more exciting game that is worth watching is precisely without cheating, and without using the flaws of the game, which are the glitchs.
