*WARNING!* There are Post-credits scenes in multiple episodes (including this one)! They are in 6, 8, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49. Best to write it down somewhere, most have important information. There are also some that have scenes _during_ the ending credits. Those are in 45, 54, 63, and 64.

Non of this episode was filler. The brothers met Dr. Marco, The truth with in the truth is teased at, Armstrong learns about the boys, the love between the rockbells and the brothers are established, and Ed gets a new arm. Just because this episode was not action packed does Not mean it was filler.
Edward is so small at beginning of the show lol
The last events happens several months after the beggining. Maybe even a year or so. And there's another logical reason for that.

It's because Al's physical body is using up Eds energy and nutrients to sustain itself, otherwise Al wouldn't have a physical body to get back in the end. This is what causes Ed to be so short in the series.
Character's grow
I like that this show knows when viewers might need a little break from the drama.

AGH. Fullmetal Alchemist is SO well constructed! It’s amazing at transitioning between lightheartedness and seriousness both in between episodes and in individual episodes themselves!
The characters and story and jokes and everything are just so detailed and thought out! I love it way too much!

- we see the first confirmed stone, but it expires like the others, remember that
- Pinako (Granny) was also the midwife of Ed and Al’s birth
- you now realise you’ve hit the line where Armstrong is now endearing rather than creepy
- Emotionally fun? Oh you sweet little child XD
- Ishval was a big deal, it’s like their WWI
- seriously, it’s not the original, 03 series is the first anime but Brotherhood is original to the manga. As for telling Armstrong, they kinda saw that Al was empty last episode anyway so secrets went out of the window
- Every episode does drop something, while 2 eps are anime only, they reveal canon stuff, there’s no true fillers
- again, the manga has Al stop him, 03 anime is not 100% canon to the manga, it’s like a generous 15% compared to Brotherhood’s 85%
But next is ep.7, back at central to find Marcoh’s research

You know what? I realized that I would really REALLY love it if any of the checked out Young Justice! I feel like its a good show though they may not catch all the references and stuff...but still cool!

I love watching these back and hearing them talk about how it's grounded with low stakes, knowing that they later witnessed an eldritch lich attempt to supplant god and consume the world

The dance of Tui & La yeah, I was expecting to catch some hxh in this channel, but it seems it'll be a looong time before any of that, and even after considering hxh has more than twice the episodes.
I'm hoping they increase FMA watching on the schedule as the series goes because like the last 8 episodes are meant to watch back-to-back.
Commander, yeah, we get one a week but at least it seems like they've watched some in a roll. I'm not a patreon but I hope people there let them know that it's best to watch the last 15 in a few days and avoid stretching too much.

The only genuine filler episode in Brotherhood, is episode 27. While episodes 4, 9, 13-14 include canon mixed with some filler. This manga was completely done during the anime's production, so there wasn't much of a need for filler episodes. A filler episode is denoted by an episode of a show that contains no elements from the source material, usually doesn't advance the plot at all, and is an episode uniquely made so that the production team can catch up to where the source material is at, or to cover for any other long breaks/hiatuses in production. You guys seem to get this wrong all the time. Just because an episode is mostly about character interactions, and not much happens to move the story forward, doesn't automatically mean that episode is filler. There's a difference between filler; and plot, pacing, and character development episodes. You can't go full-throttle action and fights throughout an entire story with no breaks, or people will get burnt out. That's why a lot of shows have parts of episodes, or entire episodes, that are just dedicated to progressing to a new destination, training, or about characters just relaxing and chatting. Pacing in a story is important, and episodes like these are the key for writers to implement their pacing effectively.

Any episode that builds characters further isn't a filler to me.
It also gave us Dr. Marko and he pointed the boys into a direction. Things happened here that will have consequence later. Not watching this episode would cause confusion later on. Like not knowing the signifigance of Winry parents' death and the existence of a Civil War.

Filler is something if you take it out of the story it wouldn't be cohesive in the story. Ed had his arm shattered so of course he'd go to his mechanic as a plot point and Armstrong joining them makes sense cause they're vulnerable and they haven't captured scar yet so he could be track Ed and Alphonse.

That whole conversation with the grandma and Armstrong was so good. It developed the worldbuilding and even reveals information that later on affects the characters like Winry and Scar's conflict.

I like both the original FMA and FMAB and I realise the Brotherhood matches the original Manga but honestly, I like the direction the original anime went at the point it got ahead of the manga and they had to complete the story as they saw it. But both are good.

One of the best anime I grow up watching it.also there's heart on this anime you can see it in the animation also the story line saddens me because after al get his body back and Edward gets TALL(hahaha ) and end up that they can't use alchemy anymore after that I wanna know if Edward will regain his alchemy ability or not. no one ever says anything about it but I always felt like Ed turning away before waving and saying goodbye was done intentionally. Because he really likes WInry and he gets too emotional and can't handle looking her in the face and saying goodbye, so he just turns away instead.

The kicker is you guys are getting the technically manga accurate edition in Brotherhood but are being spared the brutally scarring nature of the original. You think Brotherhood is a rough time? The original series didn't have anywhere near as much levity or happy episodes to buffer all the tragedy and horror which is probably the few ways the original trumps Brotherhood.

No. The first 13 episodes follow the manga. The first series extended scenes in the manga so they wouldn't catch up to the manga that quickly.
