- This is a video of the 47 cards that were submitted at the Baseball Card National in August of 2016. Great mix of modern and vintage cards!

I like how you enjoy cards, and even if something has a lower mid grade, it's still a thing of beauty to have a vintage card that looks so nice. You have a good knack for picking out nice looking raw, unaltered cards. Last week I did my first couple of videos ever, and will be doing a PSA submission results video when I'm back home from work in a week. I just got 25 cards back (1976 and older) on April 26th. Dad's right, the '52 Topps is the ultimate set to complete. Finding them above PSA 5 is a vintage card colletor's/thrill seekers dream
That is the second Ripken rookie that was submitted at nationals that had the min size requirement non slab from PSA. Kind of shady from PSA if you ask me. Outstanding cards, love the mix of modern and vintage!

If a crease is visible on front and back PSA Normally gives it a 4. If on just one side of the card you can get a 5
Super stuff there! Congrats on those 10's. Interesting, Rayfromphilly also had an 82 Ripken rookie sent back with the same problem.
Yeah, I actually saw that Ray had the same problem. Didn't make sense to me why it didn't meet the standard...at least it wasn't questionable authenticity

I did the 50 card submission for 8 dollars a card. I recommend doing bulk submission because it is less expensive that way. Also, see if your buddies want to submit anything because then you can submit it all together....that is what i did with my dad and a friend of mine.

hey joe great cards! congrats on all those 10s. i cant believe you had the same exact problem at the nationals with the ripken that i had. i had min sizereq also. and i was thinking of doing the same thing and resubmitting it in December. love the maris. i agree that should be a higher grade. love the 57 banks. the koufax rookie. congrats on getting a 9 on the Boggs Thats a good grade. the santo looks great. love your cards joe. great video
Thanks Ray! Just out of curiosity, do you remember where you bought your Ripken card? I bought mine from a dealer at the White Plains show. Maybe we bought from the same dealer?
Hi Joe, no I bought it from somebody on ebay back in February. But PSA will be back to my area on Dec 4th at the Philly Show and I will resubmit it again just for the heck of it.

Absolutely...but I don't expect on doing another submission for awhile. I'll probably try to do another 50 before my subscription expires in August of 2017. I'll keep you posted though.

Do you ever elect for a qualifier on cards? especially when they are old and off-centered, seems like it could really help with value sometimes.

About 6 years ago I had every Eddie mathews card except the 52 tops for obvious reasons. I had 1953-1968 Eddie mathews topps and bowman. I had all psa 7-8's except for one raw 1953 tops ed mathews. I bought it raw for 60$ and came and looked really good thought maybe a 4 sent for the first time to get graded came back a 6.5????? I didn't even know psa did those kinds of grading but either way I am happy with it .

Both. This is definitely a hobby but part of the fun for me is the investment aspect of it.
How much did you pay for 1960 Topps Eddie Mathews card raw?
I think around 30. Looking back I probably overpaid. I thought it looked like it had a chance at a 7.
SilverJackify bummer! I have several 1960 Topps cards I thought might get a 7 but fell short with either a 5 or 6. White borders can hide flaws to the naked eye. Dark borders like 1971 Topps you have a better idea if they might get a 7 or better
1971 Topps is definitely one of the nicest sets to. Need to pick more of those cards up.
