Pihlström is really good, but in my opinion Mikko Koivu was the best player of Finland during the tournament. Best over all. He was good at everything; scoring, defending checking, passing, penalty killing... everything!
:) Kunhan viilailen ilkeesti pilkkua :D
Finland had a chance to beat Sweden in 2002 also, but failed to do so. In 2002, both Sweden and Finland lost in the semifinals and met in the bronze medal match, where Finland took a leading with 3-0 but Sweden made five goals in a row after Finland's third goal, and won with 5-3. However, I wish Sweden would have won the semifinal. Perhaps it would have been easier for Finland to win the bronze medal match if they had met Slovakia rather than Sweden.
In 2008 Finland went against Sweden in a bronze medal game and the game ended in 4-0 win for Finland. It seems like if Finland had won the semi-finals they would have been granted silver or gold.
To be honest the best countries in terms of players availeble and their level of skill (not about teamplay, tactics or coaches) 1. Canada 2. Russia 3. USA 4. Sweden 5. Finland 6. Czech Republic 7. Switzerland 8. Germany 9. Slovakia 10. Denmark 11. Norway 12. Austria 13. Belarus
By the IIHF World ranking 2019 the top 9 Ice Hockey countries are: 1. Canada 2. Russia 3. Finland 4. Sweden 5. Czech Republic 6. United States 7. Germany 8. Switzerland 9. Slovakia Btw on the next IIHF World Championships Finland will share its group with Germany, Canada and USA. Like in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Originally there supposed to be Russia instead Canada but Russia wanted to play rather in Belarus than in Latvia so Canada places Russia in Finland's group games.
R.I.P Stevan Liv...=(
Suomi on aina yksi parhaimmista jääkiekko maista/Finland is always one of the best hockey lands in the world!
That´s Why Im Proud About My Country!
Yup! Thank you very much =) we are improving ;)

Tämä varmaan olikin sitten Backströmin ainoa hyvä peli maajoukkueessa.
