i cant realize that i found this particular version of the song in youtube, in my opinion with only these two instruments its perfect

This has a really strong "farewell" vibe to it. Should be played in your last party of summer break or something like that
We always played this upon shore, while giving our ship a farewell as she slipped below the waves before logging. "Alas, our ship, the greeeeaaatest the seas ever done saw, shall find her rest at the bottom, where all shall end in days to come..."

Tonight, my best friend and I went through tall tales, trying to collect fireworks on the way, got sunk a few times by some jerks. Lost all our fireworks at one point..
We were both really tired, bummed about losing the fireworks, just about done with the game. We kept going on our tall tale and had a silent moment. My best friend knows my favorite instrument in the game is the banjo, his is the hurdy-gurdy. While we were quiet he suddenly started playing Becalmed on the banjo. It made me smile. Naturally, I tuned in with his instrument, the hurdy-gurdy, and we both sat there and played the whole song through without a word. Such a great moment and an unexplainable feeling.
This game definitely has some moments that make you want to turn it off and never look back, but as you mention, it also has moments like you described, moments you'll cherish and never forget.

I love the hurdy gurdy as a bass so much more than the whine it sounds like as a lead

This game literally has the best memories
My favourite version of this song is when there are multiple hurdy gurdys playing this at once. Love how raw it sounds.
My best friend and I played this game for hours at night I really liked the banjo and I maked it my main instrument in the game, unlike my BFF who likes the Hurdy Gurdy, he always lets me start for me to take the lead with the banjo and its sounds just like in this video.
Once we where playing at 2 in the morning and we where really tired of hours of gaming and we had school the next morning but we started messing around with the music and the different songs, but then i started playing my favorite song Becalmed loking at the sunset seeing the immensity of the world in front of me, then a couple seconds later I turned back to him and he started playing with me giving me the lead while we played looking at the horizon, i cried a little bit because it was so beautiful, i really love that guy with my soul

I would love a playlist of every song played with banjo and hurdy gurdy
I was on the river not too long ago (East Coast, Florida), when my breath was taken away by the sunset between the trees of the island I was on. It was truly outstanding, reminding me of this song, which played softly through my head as I stood astonished at the light cascading through the gently swaying palms, almost bringing a tear to my eye.
Thank you again for making this combination. It truly is the best
My Crew and I always used to play this when we scuttled our ship at the end of our adventures - as a sort of farewell.

For a relatively action based game, sea of thieves has these beautiful moments of serenity betwixt naval battles and skelly hunting. Some of my favorite moments are jamming with an open crew on the two man sloop, watching the sun set over the waves from the bow.
Though I do also enjoy sinking aggressors
Banjo and becalmed just go.
