I started painting the banana leaves and still have to figure out the palm leaves on my practice journal, but I am making progress! This is such a cute tropical illustration! I think I will make it into something for my sister for Christmas, she loves tropical stuff. Thankyou for a beautiful video, I am so inspired! ❤️
Oh sounds exciting!! All the best for you painting! ❤️

This is so beautiful. And seems easy to do, even if mine might end up looking a bit more simple😄 I want to give it a go. Thank you👏

Pleasure! Happy that the tutorial makes sense for you :))
What a gorgeous composition! I can imagine it as a huge wall mural! Thanks so much for the useful info and the inspiration!
Omg yess! that would look so cool!
This is quite wonderful. The colors are great and don't fight with each other. I like the light pressure you use to accomplish the marks.
Love it, love it, love it!!! Can’t wait to try a full sheet and cut panels for greeting cards. Thanks for sharing ❤
That sounds like an amazing idea! You can leave a little space in the middle for the greeting as well :D:D Let me know how it goes!
love it ! 💟❣💟
I love this so much! I like how you get into detail on the variety of leaves. Very helpful for someone new to watercolor.
Also, you could turn this into a really fun jigsaw puzzle.
This is so beautiful. I love the theme you have gone for this time❤
Yay! So glad :D
Getting the vibes🪴🏵️💚 it's so prettyyy
Yay! Thank you! :D
😃👍 I love these doodles! And they are so relaxing to paint! (I love painting leaves in single strokes: once you start, you don't want to stop! 🌿🖌😊 Thank you, Nia!!🙏🤗👏👏👏🥰😘
Riiiighhtt?? That' why I almost overdid everything again, it's so fun and satisfying to paint like that xD
Very good
Love the tropical theme. It Looks like a fun thing to doodle. Also good practice of painting leaves. Thank you once again! 🙏🏼🎨✨💕
Yess! It's a fun little exercise as well as a finished doodle haha :D
That turned out just as pretty as the Spring one 🥰🌱🌿🍃
Thank you! 😊
@@Nianiani Of course 🤗
Love this! Thank you 😍
Welcome!
I am so excited 🤩.I am coloring it and commenting to you😀
Hope it went well!
💗💗💗
Thank you!😊
You're welcome 😊
I really enjoyed this and tried painting along. Iy was too fast...but I watched it a couple of times. The spring version looks cool, I am hopping off tomit next. Idea 💡 You could do a fall and a winter version when the seasons change. It could be so much fun!
This would be a really fun gouache painting too
Yes that'll work as well if it's used thinly :))
👍👍👍
Super cool!!!!! Love it! Thanks for posting your video! I’m going to try it!!!!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Hope you have a great day!!!!!!
Hope it goes well!
I’ve not tried watercolor before. I might be able to do this. Thanks! Just subbed.
Welcome to the channel and all the best for your first watercolor painting!
Thank you for a lovely experience. ❤
Always a pleasure :D
Great video editing. I like how you didn’t speed up the strokes or mixing.
Thank you!
Amazing❤
Thanks!
Good job. I’m so happy you are creating your own art instead of tracing.
:))
LOVE LOVE LOVE it ‼️. A very beautiful painting, I absolutely loved the banana leaves and was sad when they were covered. I really felt that no matter how you tried to compensate, they still remained hidden. I love your color palette Nia. ♥️
I thought they looked too bulky in the beginning but I ended up covering too much 🙈
Wow. Another amazing video ❤❤❤
Thanks!
¡Gracias!
Oh thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
🌸
Very nice! And interesting to watch the process. Thanks a lot!
Do I understand correctly, that you do not keep the scale (banana leaves are usually bigge then this bird flower?)?
And this dark round leaves are just a fantasy flower or something real? And those rose flowers... This is my usual problem to have enough ideas what real plants to combine
Yep, they're not painted to scale :)) dark round leaves are just something I made up and the frangipani flowers are a real type of flowers, you see them a lot in Indonesia which is where I'm from. If you've been to Bali, you've probably seen them around :D
👌❤🎉🎉😊
Amazing!!
Where I can find this sketchbook?😊
I got mine from an indonesian online shop, but you can maybe try to look in amazon? I'm not actually sure if this is locally produced using the chosen paper or not... You can look for any other square watercolor sketchbook and it'll work as well :)
@@Nianiani Ok, I get it... What type of paper is your sketchbook? What dimensions? Tks 😊
@@MarieClaire_St As long as you use watercolor paper it's fine. The size for this sketchbook is 12x12cm I feel like it's a bit too small though, I prefer my old square watercolor sketchbook which was 15x15cm
Which app do you use to edit videos?
Final cut pro :)

tropical time :D:D

This really is wonderful BUT please DON"T call this a doodle!!!! I do doodles, drawings, sketches and paintings and everything in between. This is definitely not a doodle but a painting, or even a sketch. A doodle is basically where you put pen or pencil to paper and have absolutely NO IDEA where you are going and it is basically lines! Still, what you are doing is wonderful so please, please, please, DON'T call it a doodle!
I have tried this. I will need to think about the additions you suggest. It gave me something to do. I have painted lots of tropical leaves this year, but this sure did simplify. Lovely.
Oh! Okay! 😂
For almost 70 years I have therapeutically sketched mindlessly while talking on the phone, waiting for an unknown time. My friends and family always enjoyed the fun art it produced.. Always one of a kind . This I always called doodling. Somehow this name has now been highjacked as an elite art form instead of a non discript form of accidental art. I reclaim this as whatever each one wants to make it…… Enjoy spontaneous artists ….😂
Maybe she is just a fancy doodler😂
It's whatever she wants to call it. How rude to demand people change to suit you. I call it clever, creative and absolutely gorgeous!!!!
