Without spending money, I got my Rex 7* Gear 12, and omicron. By the end of today, when our raid ends, I should be able to get him R5. Not to mention I already have his Omicron ready. I cannot wait. It is so great to be in the Empire Today.

Cal is a little bit out for me atm. But I am very actively farming Merrin and rex right now. Gonna finally do grand inquisitor next month, and I dunno maybe an Aphra before cal. Farming all his req shards will take me a minute but zori is newly reliced and doing great things on my defense.
Awesome video Grand Admiral. I must share with the regular player. I have Tuskens they are great. To beat them you need AOE. Raider Omi.
Wish u would talk more about the gear 12 viability or low star capt. On off on Def. Most ppl don't have 7* capt or relic Phoenix

Drop her on Defense and be done with her. Best thing you're getting out of her is Hondo
Aphra is great. The current DC set is messing with her right now, but she is great against several GLs
The Grand Admiral uses Afra for GL Jabba and loves it
Aphra is ass because she’s not needed for anything rn. Finish her since you’re almost done, but for anyone else, it’s better to work on anyone else and wait for her to be accelerated than go for her

I'd say that if you went for GL Rey then you would be benefiting a lot going for zori due to already having the characters relic'd, but if not, maybe gor for Rex first. I wish you had put some other options for offense using JKCK because apparently the video shows us basicaly Gl Rey w/ JKCK vs SEE w/ Malgus. Can non gl jedi team w/ JKCK beat a full sith empire with malgus/dr/bastila/malak/marauder?

I need to finish gearing up my zorii. Love my Merrin, finally beat CT II of Secrets and Shadows with her at g12 no zetas yet. Love my Capt. Rex also at g12 with his unique zeta, I was an early adopter of the Hera omi.. it was my secret shame until CRex came along. My fave toon though without a doubt is my JKCK at R7 and all his zetas. So fun to use under JKL lead on offense. Haven't really tried him with my GL Rey yet, may hafta give that a go.

Damn, i just unlocked malgus after this latest conquest. It's still one of those teams where if you don't have the right counter you're not getting through it.
Been playing stwgoh since it came out on and off and Ive never played with resistance team maybe i might try supe one up
I spent the last half year's worth of hoarded crystals on a 7 star rex in the latest chase event to try and get relic 9. Didn't get relic 9 mats, but I'm glad I have a 7 star rex
I have a R7 classic Rex, a G12 Fives and a simple G10 Captain Rex. Full zetas, mid mods, and I managed to get an average of 3 defense wins last 3v3. It was kinda ridiculous
I stopped farming GLs a few months ago because characters like these are just so good and the resources to unlock them are so much less.
I suspect Captain Rex allows Clone Troopers and Phoenix to 3* CT3 on their respective Assault Battles, which pushes him unquestionably way over Zorii imo if it's true.
That’s a good point. Is this the CT3 that requires Phoenix or Nightsisters with the Palptine nuke on phase 4?
@@cannibalraptor Yes. Phoenix and NS have one, which is the nuclear-bomb-AoE-Palpatine one, and then Clone Troopers share one with Rebels. Without Captain Rex, the only consistent way to clear the one for Clone Troopers and Rebels is with CLS Rebels. No fully-Clone-Trooper team can clear it that I know of. I think, however, Captain Rex may allow it to be cleared by a fully-Clone-Trooper team.

I remember a lot of people were imagining cal wasn't going to be too important. Look at our boy now
Cal isn't that important though unless you're in K1 and a whale. If you're a good player below K1 and not spending money, cal won't do a whole lot.
You'll still be far outmatched gp wise and he won't make your life much easier compared to what you already have to face on a daily basis in GAC.
And in TB, it won't really help all that much unless you're in a top guild. Again, you have to spend to be there

But I guess he has a low unlock threshold so that makes it better

The moment I unlocked malgus, I began using him on offense right away. People don't know how good to is on offense in GAC cause no one used him that way 😂 but I'll give one example.
I use assassin and Marauder with Malgus I 3v3 and my assassin is 376 speed under his lead with omis. He dunked on a palp mara starkiller team, he can beat the dose rex comp as it seems, and I reckon he will take on other GLs. He's an incredible Sith character and he's flexible for my own needs I the game.
Rex and the crew have gotten way more defenses than they should’ve. 10 holds when they are full gear 11 in territory war.
The question is, what zetas do you have? And what was your team composition?

My jml/basti/master Yoda just lost against g12(r5 warrior) tuskens, was not to happy about that
Ill have to get a lot of these guys. Just always so occupied with running for the next big ship or GL. Working on Profundity now, but need more defense teams or offense teams.
As a suggestion you should make either one big video or a series of videos talking about the best Non Gl counters for every GL. 1 video for each GL would make it very easy to find the counters you want for a specific battle. especially since you can go into the mods you use for each counter
Might be tough since datacrons alter so much what is a viable counter and those change frequently. I could make one but it just would be outdated fast.
@@AhnaldT101 True, but it could help with just the default battles. And eventually the datacron will go away and make it viable even for a short time. hard to find some of the great counters. It could help for those who get lucky and dont fight datacron Gls though, for me ive been somewhat lucky that my opponents arent using datacrons on defense. But its still hard trying to punch up with half the GLS. so having some ideas for non gl counters may help. But it sucks how much they change the game each month. Just glad ive been lucky using conquest to get a ton of decent datacrons

Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and Captain Rex make perfect sense. Not convinced by Tuskens given the heavy kyro requirements and limited use once Krayt goes away.
Since I got Rey I threw a lot of my f2p crystals to get Zorii to 7 star as fast as possible. Massive whale, no fail. I think last 5v5 season most of my wins were because my opponents got stuck on her team. You know, Finn is a big deal ;)
iden full autos Crex Phoenix. it is a little under the radar but she hard counters them with her omi. makes them invulnerable.
i guess i should get my zorii going since i got 330 rose shards

This may be just coincidence but it seems that, once a large enough number of people start unlocking Conquest characters from Proving Grounds, CG releases a new character that makes that Conquest character less dominant. It certainly feels that if you need 6 months+ of Proving Grounds to finish unlocking someone, they'll have been overtaken by the latest releases. It might be interesting to see if the data backs this up.
He'll still be on GAC defense. In that Leviathan fleet.

Rex is the definition of age shouldn't slow you down
Zorii definitely had the most impact this year. The amount of defensive holds she got in the beginning, ALL the way to today, is pretty crazy. Too many people were on the copium train for too long before the finally started to throw bigger teams at her.
Rex is kind of in the same spot as her, but I feel like, because of Zorii, people aren't sleeping on Rex now. They made the mistake once already with Zorii, and they aren't trying to do it again with Rex.
The problem I’m having is I can’t get enough Captain Rex shards. I’m doing the sims every day and the drop rate is just so awful and there’s no other way to get him
Are you paying 25 crystals for a refresh or even 50 crystals for two refreshes? That's how you get a character faster

@AhnaldT101 it seems to me CG likes to do darkside then light side and back and forth for GLs. This would mean that our next GL is darkside. The only characters i can think if that fit that are valkorian and thrawn, so it would make sense that the next GL would be thrawn because of the ahsoka show and the leviathan's very recent release
Not saying these Zorii, Tuskens etc (Aphra also, not here but same debate) teams are bad, but you just dont need them for anything, thats why your f2P struggler to follow the current meta of your range, you have useless teams and the teams needed for the meta you are in, you ignore them or go for them way too late (JKR, CLS, Malak, etc), especially considering the fact that Zorii or the new Tuskens are new characterss, that means slow farm and too much kyros to gear them up
Thats why Rex is a good choice, because you need him for a something (a GL), and this GL will give a lot of ressources by her event + the new raid
NS and Merrin can be a debate because they have an Assault Battles + Merrin is the one who help finish it

I mean, if Cal is so valuable, isn't the fact that Malgus is forcing the use of Cal significant? Is there a better use for Malgus on offense than his current value of either pulling a Cal or a GL on D?
I think calling Malgus trivialized a little bit disingenuous... Has his defensive value diminished? Probably a little. But keeping Cal from being with JML for other counters seems like it has some value.
The analysis for putting Malgus on offense would have to include that, weighed against the value of which teams Malgus could actually beat.
That being said, being able to put another GL on D is super valuable.
Let's be real, a big part of players picking up Rex is because he's required for Leia. Maybe he'd have more than Zorii without being a GL req, but I think it would be real close in that situation

Not really, it would make him a little better with pheonix, but you wouldn’t be able to use him for events or datacrons g12 minimum for him imo
