Appears to have the ultra rare Keyless Entry (from what I could make out), which would be the device above the rearview mirror mounted to the ceiling. I've been around AMC's and Eagle's my entire life and have never seen one, only ever just heard of the option of it. Looks like a solid vehicle for the price point. If you're interested in selling the car, let me know. I would love to add this one to my AMC Collection. I am also from Wisconsin, so the drive isn't too far for me.
Just snagged an 83 eagle wagon myself. Needs a little work (like extra rear hatch shock absorbers, etc) but planning a lot of projects to get it as an extra daily driver. Can't wait to drive it in the snow. Looking forward to future videos.
This one needs shocks for the rear hatch as well. A lot of other projects going on, the Eagle TH-cam series on my channel will begin in a couple months !
Wow, great find ! So glad it freed up and ran..! ... I've got lucky too. As I've closed the deal on a '73 AMC Sportabout Gucci X ... That needs to be painted and reassembled ... So, I'm entertaining the idea of putting clips on TH-cam too ... Even though mines ten years apart, the style is near the same...The interior has the same lower shelf tray as yours ... But, I have only a 232, automatic, disk breaks and roof rack... The wagon body style is nearly the same... Same rear angle ... Mostly different grill / front area ... Anyway, looking forward to seeing another couple clips of yours ! Best regards 🇺🇸
The Eagle could have been a really great car. Perfect for sub-artic conditions that are common in Canada, Scandinavia, China and Russia. Cheaper than a Range Rover and with better fuel economy. If only they had made it with a 90hp turbodiesel for even better fuel economy. AMC was working with Renault at the time which did produce some suitable diesels that could have been turbocharged.
I had a 1980 Eagle 🦅 one of the best cars I ever owned. God I miss that car
The whooping when you're baha-ing around the yard....CLASSIC
I was astonished it was still running🤣
I have an 83 eagle wagon awesome car ❤
Right on!! My ‘82 is the opposite story. Glad you hit the jackpot.
Fellow Wisconsin eagle owner here! Need to start making videos about it, my friend has some on his channel, American Made Classics
Hey- I’ll get into fixing on the Eagle when the snow flies, it’ll be some fun winter content!

Finally found your TH-cam channel, Jeff! Amazing how that thing just fired up and ran! So cool.
Thanks Gary! I was expecting the engine to be locked up and was amazed when it started up!!
I honestly can't believe you're running that engine at all with that old oil and gasoline.
You scored a steal bro, for sure! And it's not ugly in my book
I'm from Wisconsin myself. These things were ugly but reliable and could almost go anywhere in the northwoods. Ours saw a lot of logging "roads".
Ugly and reliable! I like that! Haha
That's the ticket! That's Rad! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The tray was from the factory.

Someone would what 2000 bucks for that in western Oregon even not running. Those engines are near bullet proof, 7 main bearings.
The Eagle was interesting, but a goofy looking car.
