Troy , I've been following your channel ,videos, for years now and every video is as good as ever, always very informative and so easy to follow. You have a great way of explaining everything, thank you so much 👍👍👍
Your bridge saddle string spacing looks a bit off. The D string is set in a bit on the saddle, but the low G string seems to be at the end of the very end of the saddle. The strings look evenly spaced over the cone.
Just bought a Square Neck Tricone and do not know where to go from here and need your help. I am so confused with what tunning I should use. It is in open G Taro Patch right now, DGDGBD thinking this is a Hawaiian tunning. Now I just discovered the Lap Guitar videos I have been watching are DOBRO, GBDGBD. Then I found someone who says he uses ''A-Highbass the early version of the infamous Dobro tuning that in the early style of Sol Hoopii used. I have .016 to .059 strings on as National Guitar told me to do for open G or D tuning. Do I use the Dobro tunning GBDGBD or open G, DGDGBD or A C# E A C# E turned down that I cannot figure out so I do not need to buy special strings?? Thank you!!!
So I'm into like classic country, and I was wondering how can I can learn to pick those because there are not many videos so is it just playing random strings till I find something that sounds like it or do you do it some other way but thank you these videos have been really helpful.
