I love the improved design and better playability. The textures of the walls, it all looks great. But the enemies often look like foreign objects, just like in the original. You should take the Xenos from the AB3D1 demo. Or maybe improved sprites with more animations. Nevertheless, great work!
@@jimpowerBoom Ideally what we need are new 3D models that can be rendered in the manner expected by the existing tooling so that they can be converted into the bumpmapped sprite format. There's a whole process to that, but having the models would allow us to add in diagonal views eventually too. Basic sprites are a bit of a poor fit for the games lighting engine as they don't really adapt properly.
Not initially. I've always thought the hoard everything was one of the failings of the game. However, the inventory limits are not fixed. There's an achievements mechanism that increases carry limits and I'm planning to add one off collectables, like a backpack.
I'd like to get started playing AB3D II on my WinUAE (I already have the floppy disc images), but don't even know how to install it, let alone use KarlosTKG and/or make custom maps for it. Mind if I ask you where to start?

Making a game trainer wouldn't be hard, in any case.
