This was a nice clean build. Simple enough for a beginner to complete. I especially like how you converted a piece of drain pipe into a functional case. I am going to give that a try myself. Thanks for posting this.
Your videos are different with others because you attention to any small details in teaching and I like it. Using Pvc pipes as product case was unique and creative job. I am thanksful, Well done and keep it up Goodluck and wish the best for you. From Golestan, Iran 😊
I think you have used the dc dc converter module which is capable of doing constant current and voltage source as well. Most of the ready made converters are coming with only voltage adjustment. Nice to see that this module has both...good video
Hi, Thanks for sharing this nice power supply. I notice that your connection from the buck convertor to the two potentiometers in the connection diagram is a little different from the actual solderings in the video. Could you clarify which one is correct?
This is a nice project but I suggest you make the setup before putting them into the case, sometimes you could burn the wire while soldering in such small space, adding a fan is necessary because 10 amps is a high current for the buck converter and the power supply, small ventilation will overheat the setup and maybe will damage it. Last are the wires, 10 amps needs atleast 18 AWG but in conclusion this is a DIY variable bench power supply
If you went to the effort of desoldering that display.. you could've taken a few 7-segment display modules and wire them up like the small display to get a bigger screen that would look better on a big power supply. Also, cover the display with a foil of some sort, even an black trash bag makes the unlit segments invisible, making the screen look so much better.
They are initially on the DC-DC converter, like the multi-tour potentiometers. He just removes them and places to the front panel. Green for power on and red for short circuit indication.
Nice video bro mgr is me ek Kami hai is smps me aap ko short circuit protection bhi laga dena tha uske bad ye aap ka bord Full price me bikne ke liye ban jayega
Will the circuit work properly if I use 19.5vof 2.31A charger of laptop and connect its output with dc to dc step up module (XL6009) and adjust it to 24v dc and then connect this output wires to 300watt dc to dc 10A stepdown buck converter to get a output voltage varies from 24v to 1.2v?

Hello you did a very good diy this is very useful for me. Just 1 question do i need to short the output everytime im using it to set the amps? Or no need? Just the potentiometer?
No you don't. And never do that. He is just trying to show us that the power supply provides 10 amps as promised. When you connect the load to the power supply you will see the current being used. Than you can adjust or limit the current to the requirements.

Lindo trabajo.
Amazing job making a case out of drain pipe. Thanks for sharing. From Texas, USA
You are very welcome
The casing looks supercool. Making a case out of pvc is hard compared to plywood. U have good talent and patience. Keep going

Using PVC pipes are kind of hard, I would rather prefer buying PVC sheets instead and spray painting them
I like the guide as there is no broken english to hear. Thanks!

Excellent project
compliments for your beautiful project.
Awesome idea with pipe flattening!
Glad you like it!
I agree. Making that pipe so nice and flat must be the hardest part. And takes a lot of patience I guess.
Great project . I did with same components & parts . Value for my time to spend on .😊
Very good Project

9:00 You need to invest in a label maker. Or alternately, get some Dry Transfer Letter sheets, they are very inexpensive.
In that part of the world everything is expensive. Indian guys in their videos make almost everything from scrap.

SMPS me short circuit protection hain bro.
@@arhemant2796 ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you very much, excellent project. One question: why is it not protected when joining the test leads?
Because the dc dc converter inside, will also work in constant current mode. So if you short also just it will supply the current value which is set.

That is for the voltmeter display operation. You can use an old phone charger.

This power supply definitely needs a fan because the dc / dc converter will not withstand a load of 10 a, even 5 a no
