    Laura; one of your best quality is that you are very much respectful to our people. Thank you so much. Your presentations are amazing. No doubt! I'll always be your loyal fan.😅Keep up the good work. You R very much appreciated. By the way, I lived my formative years within the vicinity of Bong Mine/BMC.

    Thanks for sharing Lauretta. I grew up in Bong Mines, we used to call Bong Mines little Germany. Bong Mines was a beautiful and twenty-fours a day lighted city. I missed my days in Bong Mines. Education was free for the staff members children. It was one of the best in the world during the glory days of Liberia. I made all my childhood friends in Bong mines. When I see Bong Mines now, it makes me cry.

      Hi, we were there from 74 to 80. I went to school in the British Branch. Teacher was Mr Crawford. Mum and Dad were Gladys and Peter Ranger.

    Great video guys. I lived in Bong Mines in the 1970’s and was a teenager. I went to school in the British Branch but had a few Liberian teachers. I had the best math teacher Mr Ocansey!
    My dad worked in the power station and the work shop before that.
    We had the best of times at Bong Mines and it’s said to see the ruins but I am happy for the Liberian people that the war is over. We lived at LAC before Bong and used to spend weekends at Lamco Buchanan on the beach.
    So many great memories watching this video.
    If get to LAC that would be amazing!
    Good luck with the channel :)

    This is my place of birth & grew up here until 1990, I left Bong Mines. Indeed, this place used to be well developed by the German people & had a very good education systems. Bong Mines used to be called small Europe those days. My father worked with the Bong Mining Company from 1962 to 1990. We used to lived in one of the beautiful camp called Botota. Thanks for sharing our old memories with us my dear sister & keep on the good work for our country!

    I love hearing from ordinary Liberians outside of Monrovia and you do a good job of bringing that on your channel. The authenticity of your content and how you interact with regular everyday people makes you the best Liberian TH-camr in my book.

    My father used to talk about Bong mines all times when we were Guinea. I think Liberia was the best place before I born, from 70s to late 80s.

    It's regrettable that the Chinese have not redeveloped the concession. It seems that the GoL and the citizens have not recouped the benefits as they did back in the glory days of Liberian mining. Speaking of the biggest, I'm almost certain that LAMCO was actually the largest of the legacy mining operations. Thank you for giving us a window on the lives and well being of Liberians affiliated with Bong Mines

    A point of correction: LAMCO was far away the largest mining company in Liberia.

    • @LaurettaBiraneCisse
      @LaurettaBiraneCisse  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I never said LAMCO was the largest mining company. I mentioned “when LAMCOM was LAMCO” because people use that term a lot to talk about the good old days in Liberia.
