I believe he enjoys entertaining in font of all the people. He constantly interacts with them. Have not seen a gorilla as active and as playful as he is.

these are clips from different days. They have a large outside area. He is with his wives and children. He's super playful and loves the attention. I do not like zoos because I hate animals being locked up, but this family lives together as they would naturally and they enjoy each other's company as much as sometimes they argue. Shabani likes to tease, esp one of his wives but if by accident he hurts her, he apologizes. He's a sweet gorilla and also with his children. He gets pissed sometimes when he hears the chimps but he's a lot more chill than chimps. It's the gorilla's display but he's especially playful. He's like a big kid. He was very gentle toward his two children when they were babies.
what an absolutely extraordinary beast,..handsome, playful, talented I enjoy seeing him act out and up close,.but I agree with sooo many others I with amazing speciman was enjoying a real habitat somewhere

Sad for sure, but just remember, if it weren't for these Zoos the population would be almost nil for these beautiful animals! I totally agree their habitat should be as close to their ancestors as possible, theynow wouldnt make it in the wild, remember they were born in captivity, so they know no difference! But I agree, they should have an awesome home! Gorillas are gorgeous and now population is coming back a little thank God
