- My favorite beats as of late. Wanted them in one place. Obviously I'm partial towards saxophones and muted trumpets.
I own none of this music nor the music that inspired these versions.

My pleasure, just as it is listening to your work! Keep it up!
This genre of music is genuinely so underrated
I mean, people who think that its something obscure and underrated should look up 2000s downtempo trip hop music. Thievery Corporation even had elements of world music in their albums. Maybe the covers are not that pretty and aesthetic, but at least its original with few samples and not just remixed.
Sol Invictus is genuinely such a captivating track. Love the percussion in the beginning it sounds like the steady rattling of a nomad’s belongings as they comtinue their march to wherever
“Our Lord” by Oscob from Praise the Sun God
very good stuff, surprised no haircuts for men though
no one appreciates the og anymore.
My introduction to the genre, some absolute bangers from them.
Please make a part 2😭
This should be a vol1
So where's vol2 already?
oh hell yea, names i havent heard from before. thanks!
U just put the popular ones😭 Macroblank and Oblique Ocassions have crazy stuff
Love them both, just found myself gravitating towards these lately.
@@TheKorbakov Theyre all amazing ngl good list

Thank you!
You're welcome!
Smooth AF
Cool playlist good vibes
god teir mix
Oscob is the best one to me, are there more like that? It’s got a whole other vibe, almost like someone took Sun Ra’s Languidity and Vapor’d it out.
My 2nd favorite on this list, it's something else. Always makes me stop and contemplate where I am in life.
Why is one of the covers just Ramlethal Valentine??? I'm not complayning, I just think it's funny
Majestic 12 has a handful of album covers with anime/game characters, just their style I guess.
i dont really like this genre just isnt something i vibe with but the covers are always awesome so i always end up clicking anyways
nobody cares what you dislike in life so keep that to yourself in the future and more people will like you
Hey to each their own, and I think you're onto something. Kindof like crazy art on old vinyl covers, how else are you going to get people to listen to your music?
Where can I find this album 17:30

@@TheKorbakov I literally found it like an hour ago but thanks lol
chill vibe...why are these shits called barber beats...and why are they controversial
controversial because the DJs are taking samples of other professional musicians work without permission and not paying them. Then they call their mixes they release an "ALBUM" as if they created the music themselves. Don't get me wrong, these DJs are extremely talented but none of the music is their own, it's all plundered. Basically for example they take a 90s bossa nova track and slow it down, add a deep baseline and/or drum kit and sample a part of the song and then loop it and they create a brand new song from the samples... super creative but still stealing other people's work. So that's the controversy :))
realplonk summed up the controversy pretty well. No idea why they are called barber beats, I imagine it's what you'd want to hear while you were waiting for a haircut haha.
@@TheKorbakov I thought its called Barber Beats because they are metaphorically snipping and cutting parts of an original, like how a barber snips and cuts hair to turn it into something else.
@@celarkmainly because the vaporwave artist Haircuts For Men popularized the genre
