A Christmas Carol has to be my favorite Dickens. It’s up there with Great Expectations but I haven’t read that since Junior High! I do want to get to Bleak House!
A Tale of Two Cities is my favourite, I wasn't a lover of Nicholas Nickelby, but perhaps preferred the beginning of the book. I have yet to read Our Mutual Friend and Great Expectations, which I will be doing in June and July.
I've read The Iliad twice, the second time it was the Emily Wilson translation. I need to go ahead and read The Odyssey. I want to do a reread of Dickens' Great Expectations. I'm embarrassed to say I've only read Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities. I'm curious about Nicholas Nickelby and David Copperfield more than his others and would like to read them.
😊
I'm currently reading The Iliad (Emily Wilson ver) as well. Synchronicity. Love the videos 😇

Bleak House ... you make me want to read it. I never have. That is a beautiful copy of the Illiad.
Best wishes with your reading summer.
